i cry nearly the whole time.
only one regret, i didnt get to see myself, DH hold Kian for the 1st time. i have the photo but ykwim

going to watch it now. I am really annoyed that the MW on the ward took over doing J's cares, insisted on feeding him & bathing him but left me with the nappies!

think, with me. the lack of sleep from the night before, sil death, hard labour, failed forceps and ventouse and then the section by the time i got to see K i was wiped out. i look at photos taken the first few hours and can barely remember them.
as i was struggling to feed K and then his jitters and then been taken away for tests the 2nd night when the lovely midwife came on shift i was never so pleased to see someone.

must be mad to think bout having another!! :D

never did a birth plan as no-one could ever tell me what would happen. with my existing high BP, it was always well we'll do this or this and we might induce you or we might not....
DH for obv reasons wasnt his best and my mum didnt want to make a decision for me. it was quite hard. have told DH next time he is staying with me... (although will prob be planned c/s)

am very jealous of anyone who got to walk around though as i was monitored constantly so was on the bed all the time. and there wasnt a toilet in my delivery room so had to use one of the others to have a wee. just as well it was a quiet night/morning

Ours went off and left us with Alice with blood matted hair. OH had to wash it (which took ages as it had dried in) as I couldn't walk for seven hours because of the epidural. But I'm fairly sure that Becles said they insisted on showing her how to bath Charlotte (in the same hospital) even though she was her third.

Bit late, but my parents were the same age (both 1953) and DH & I are near enough (him 1983; me 1984).

DH is now annoyed at me b/c he has day off today and Finn just went down for nap, DH put him down literally like 10 seconds ago and then runs to me wanting a little...mid-afternoon recreation if you get my drift...Jeez, desperate enough?? I don't know why that annoys me, but it seriously does.

Oh, my parents 1944 and 1947, OH 1965, me 1979.

:grouphug: Mel, extra trouble's the last thing you need.

Statement completed, now waiting for 26 minutes so I can convert my statement to a PDF online and submit my job application. It would probably be easier to download a PDF converter. Maybe I'll do that next...
