Just popping back in briefly to check on progress, Tara, great news about Poppie's promotion to High Dep already :j :j :j One of Andrew's guardian angels :A is definitely looking after her, because he's doing less chatting to his angels when he's on his own in his cot.

Did the doc not listen to his chest/heart and pull him all about to check reflexes and stuff? They are supposed to check hips and eyes at 6 wk check too. Did they not do a checklist and put a copy in your red book?

Yes, she did. It was useless b/c even though I AM fine, she barely even asked and so the "me" part of the appt was quite pointless.

  • Aless I think a lot of doctors forget they are meant to be checking mum at 6 weeks too. I know I had to ask questions to get mine to remember about me.

Now I'm catching up a bit - huggles to BM and Beccles. Not sure what to suggest, but we have a rule that if it isn't in the washing basket it doesn't get washed. Also any question that starts "why haven't you...."tends to be answered by "why didn't you do it yourself?". My DH is lots better than he used to be - he has no ability to use his initiative (most of the time anyway) but if I ask him to do something specific he will normally (eventually!) do it. What annoys me is that he will sit in front of the tv for 40 mins first, during which time I've done everything else because it all needs doing NOW/before I can make tea/go to bed, then once he has done the first thing either I've done all the other things myself I was going to ask for help with, or he sits down again and if I ask him to do something else it is another 40 mins again! He does have days where there is a whirlwind of clearing up, but he has more of a "sweep it under the carpet" approach to things, so I still end up having to go round after him moving everything from the cupboards/shelves he has plonked them in and put them away (or in the bin!)

My day has went down the crapper. DH job isn't safe anymore due to them loosing a bus contract and him not being 'senior' (been there long enough) to guarantee a shift (plus he messed up last week, well, sorta but not his fault, so still awaiting disaplinery for that too) and he also had an expensive fag, in the stance so got a nice £30 fine. He's paying that out his own pocketmoney!! !!!!!! that he is!

And Amber has been stolen and replaced by that ugly screamy baby again. DS2 insists he is ill ( nowt wrong with him lazy lil !!!!!!) so is still running about in a jammie top and no nappy or pants. I've no cornbflour and messed up the rue for lasagne so its in the ovem with a splash of milk and cheese :D !!!! it, !!!! it all I say!
  • Tia what a day. I prescribe a nice big glass of wine this evening. And maybe a bath. You could even drink the wine in the bath if you are feeling posh ;)

Lol! I used to work in a school and once read the list of words filtered out of the email system - I've never had such a laugh - there were words I never even knew existed!

I used to moderate for MSN chatrooms and we were always laughing about the different words that would get you booted from a chatroom... They were American too so some good old english words would get through...
