Hi all thaanks for the lurve yesterday about my yucky commute- only one day left! :j:j:j it's Monday and I can't wait!

HR have thrown a spanner in the work now though by saying that the letter I received and based all my calculations on about when to begin notice of maternity leave etc isn't right! So they can theoretically require me to all of a sudden have to find 4 more working weeks out of nowhere and fit them in before my Mat leave begins . Going to have to phone my manager today.:(

    Hope everyone is OK?

    MFD, how's hubby? :)

  • Morning Weezl (and everyone else too!) That's poo about work :(

I've ony caught up on the last couple of pages, so just wanted to send huggles to Becles - that is a big decision to make. Is there no possibility of deferring for a year, or going even more part time? Been there, done that though (for different reasons) ... not a good experience to go through, big wrench to change the game plan.

    Morning all

I've just got too much to do at the moment and can't fit everything into a day. Last year I bought two new sofa's and I was just thinking that I've barely sat on the things!

Everyday is just a non-stop round of work, uni, childcare and housework and I never get a minute to rest. He won't help with the house work as he works full time, and I can't force him to do anything. It's like being a single parent really.

Just so tired and think uni was a big mistake.
Here I go again on my own....

Oh NO Weezlie :( that's awful. Does your manager understand your position? How you've based your life around something you received in writing from work, and even if they made errors in their calculations you can't be responsible for that, or change history to make different choices?
I hope she's sympathetic and can work something out :( fingers crossed :(

Becles, hope the doctor is helpful today. It really really does sound like you are over-worked, maybe Uni is the easiest thing to change *doubtful smiley* but it must be terribly frustrating :( still, if stopping means you have some chances for breaks and feel better in yourself, that's more important. Hope you feel better soon and the doctor can help today.
  • Hi all, i'm in bed still, just fed t. Not read back yet, sorry I've just been so busy lately.

Hi Weezl, got 2 mins before school run, will be back after 9. Been up since 4.30am, bit stoopid I know. Op went well, she is this morning on air only through the ventilator rather than extra oxygen so great. They halved the morphine overnight but that gave her a build up of fluid on her lungs but they are not concerned about it so it seems that is normal at first. Nasty scar that goes right round her side but glued not stitched. She'll be in Bristol for 4-6wks. X
Too many children, too little time!!!
