Got the DVD of series 1 if you want to watch it? Hubby [STRIKE]downloaded[/STRIKE] aquired series 2 but it's coming onto FX at the end of the month...

Kind offer, thanks :) but we have stacks of DVDs we "ought to watch", whereas mostly thanks to commute I go through paperbacks at a high rate of knots, so I will decline, shouldn't be adding to the pile til we at least get through what we got for Christmas.

And while I'm here, woo on weight-loss :) so what if it's not the end result yet, that's great progress.

Some may remember I mentioned a while back about Elijah reaching tantrum toddler stage, and his violent responses to being told no...
Has anyone experienced anything like the below, or have any suggestions?
He's now at the point where if thwarted or told No firmly, he shouts angrily but then folds himself double and headbutts the floor hard a couple of times :( our flat is mostly stone tiling or hardwood so it's particularly bad...
Once he's done it he stops being angry and usually comes back rubbing his head moaning "oooops oooops oooops" or "Hirts! Hirts!" and requires cuddles.

OH thinks it's basically attention-seeking and we should try not to respond at all when he does it. I find it very hard to ignore, and I worry about him actually hurting himself. Any thoughts?

And a small thing to amuse you - I was on way home from work and OH asked me to stop by the Sainsburys Local and grab her some sanitary pads. I do not know much about sanitary pad brands and quality. I know OH does not like wings! There were only two sorts on the shelves, so I bought the un-winged....
I brought them home and OH came out a few minutes ago cackling because I have brought home incontinence pads instead it seems :embarasse
It didn't say so on the packet!

Welcome Jacksons Mum :) picture please!

Well I think you need to have it uploaded somewhere on the net -e.g. photobucket, flickr, etc etc... Or if FB, you'd need to set viewing preferences to allow it to be viewed by all and post the link.

Lol Bruno... How were you to know if it doesn't say so on the packet? ;)

I wouldn't worry too much about E doing too much damage... They kind of have built in limiters that stop themselves knocking themselves out... I think this is when you give the sympathy with a bit of "I told you so" at the same time... EG... "Well if you bang your head on the floor, it's going to hurt isn't it..." Eventually he'll make the connection himself...

    How are ya?

    We're all good thank you.
It's nice that you and OH are doing something together - I don't 'get' fiction so only read 'real' stuff, and I always fall asleep during films, it drives OH mad as he's a proper film lover. :o
who said they were close or near enough to MH wanna come on the 24th .. i'll treat you to a chocolate with marshmallows on top :D x

Blonde question of the evening - wheres MH? If its not far for Mel, its not far for me. :rotfl:

Thursday is the only day we do something, Gymbabes. Swimming will be a Tuesday, but we've not got there yet.

I'm free anytime hun - I can't do Thursdays as we go swimming but any other day is OK. Not going to be on much so I'll PM you my number so you can keep me informed. xx

    You can't disappear - I've got your number. ;)
Are you (and anyone else) going to sling meet?, is it Friday?

ETA: Bruno what Krystal said. DS does/did similar things, expecially biting his own hand/throwing himself down on his knees from a great height - a few times of me kind of ignoring it, but saying 'that's sillys, you'll hurt your hand/knees/whatever' he seems to realise! (and moves onto hurting something else!).

    :rotfl: " bruno's purchasing faux pas :)

Chris did the head butting thing too, I just ignored him but would let him snuggle up to me if he came rubbing his head, I never offered a hug but only gave them when requested. If I was close enough I'd put my hand inbetween the floor and head too.
Now when he's angry he screams with such fury that he goes all tense and shakes a bit, I like to imagine smoke coming out of his ears when he does it :p
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

AAArgggg! Done a huge post and its gone grrrr!
Bruno- DD used to hold her breath til she passed out so I just let her, I'd put something soft under where she would fall. It never lasted long cos it didn't get her anywhere.
