which reminds me! Becles - how much did the new window cost if you don't mind? I want to get new windows in the boy's rooms ASAP as they're both rubbish and the cause of damp and mould - yuk!!
It was £450, but that included some brickwork being removed. The old window was only 40cm in high and didn't let much light in, so they took some bricks out and now it's about 80cm hight. The difference in light is amazing! Could have got it a bit cheaper elsewhere, but I've used this company before and they are fantastic. Felt happier paying a little extra for the reassurance that the job would go without a hitch - which it did!My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »For anyone worried about the temp in baby's room it is much more economical to get a small oil filled radiator to keep the chill off in 1 room only.
I had one of them when the boys were babies, with a timer plug. It came on after the heating clicked off and switched itself off when the heating came on. Josh was born in November and James early Feb, so it was good just to have it on low to keep the chill off the room. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Hello everyone, have done a quick skim of the last few pages (we're all sick and not going out to do tourist stuff today).
Tara how are your DD and DGD? What's happening with the pumping/not feeding her? Did you talk to the ward manager/matron? I hope everything's ok.
Nicki, I'm so sorry. I've only seen your follow up but that sounds so scary.
Everyone else, I've forgotten so please remind me if there's something important.
I've just been on FB, and my mother has defriended my husband. I'm not sure what to do, but I suspect she's only kept me on there so she can see pictures of Molly. I'm tempted to relieve her of the burden of having to interact with us altogether if she can't even manage to put him on hide and maintain a basic level of non-hostility.
Thoughts, anyone, if you have them and I'll check back later tonight? xxxOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning,
Katie finally went back to sleep at about 2am - she wasn't a happy bunny as I wouldn't allow her into bed with us.
I've been up since 8am making honey flapjacks!
Katie has had her chocolate spread on toast with a side order of blueberries and has just wolfed down a fromage frais.

I got an email from apple about val day, I was expecting it to show cheap stuff like cases, headphones etc but no it said something like "he loves you" with a pic of an ipod then "he loves you lots" with a pic of an ipod touch!!...
I was looking to Asda's website earlier, and their present suggestions include camcorder, digital camera and ipod - !!!!!!?! For Valentines Day?!
If we bother with a gift it's a pair of novelty socks or pants usually!
SS - how many times have you looked at her friends list? I sometimes 'lose' friends from my list but they re-appear days later without me having to re-add them . I'm hoping it's just a glitch! I think it's incredibly petty to remove him if she has, OH's cousins are proper chavs but I'm still their friend on fb I just hide their posts so I don't see their effing and jeffing status updates
Thanks Becles
I've just had maccy's breakfast :cool:0 -
