And she is currently in a room down the corridor from the unit, being moved to parent accomodation across the road tomorrow. Up to now she's only had access to a microwave in the parents kitchen so hasn't had a proper meal since Tuesday!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Tara, get a pump to her asap, are the hospital going to loan her a pump? She does need a hospital grade one and they should be providing one. Get her to pump every 3-4 hours, after seeing baby and using lots of props to get her going (pics, scented stuff, cuddly toy etc). She needs to eat and drink.
The hospital should be providing her with a pump to use while she is on-site (as a patient or a staying in mum), bottles/containers for the milk, showing her where to store her milk. She should also be getting meals, all the breast feeding mums got meals, even if the mums were just visiting. And more importantly she needs support, not to be just left and ignored.
The unit can give her a pump to keep, they should do that, I got one!
I'm angry on your and her's behalf.0 -
