A really stupid question - realised yesterday talking to a friend about my birth that I still have major issues with Thomas' arrival and the whole 40 hour failed induction/caesarean process, am I being pathetic? Do birth counsellors or something like that exist? Quite how paying for one of those will fit in with my new found non-wealth on smp I don't know but will worry about that later.
Not a stupid question at all. We were actually just talking about the same kind of thing yesterday. I don't know whether they do it everywhere but here they do an "afterthoughts" service where you can arrange to go in and discuss the birth with someone. I think it's fairly normal to have issues about the birth if it didn't go the way you wanted/expected.

I'm intrigued - I'm now running through all sorts of possiblities in my head.

(Must stop reading MSE and start searching for WTP material.)

    yay! sunshine for once!

Thomas still having his 11am snooze (delayed by 30 mins of screaming!) and we are supposed to be at his grandma and grandad's for lunch at 1pm - they are creatures of habit! - ooops!

A really stupid question - realised yesterday talking to a friend about my birth that I still have major issues with Thomas' arrival and the whole 40 hour failed induction/caesarean process, am I being pathetic? Better go and get little man ready.

Unfortunatley not all babies are creatures of habit - I'm sure they won't mind waiting!

Not a stupid question at all, in fact it was discussed yesterday! I think you could speak to a Midwife about it but you certainly wouldn't need to pay for it. It was mentioned yesterday that putting it into words can help so if you want to post on here your entire birth story and all your issues it might make you feel a little bit better :)

I can recommend the C&G Banana & Strawberry Porridge, it was worth the faff making it with formula but J wolfed it down with a huge grin on his face and I even thought it was quite yummy!

Jillie - I'll need a highchair on Tuesday thinking about it. SeptemberBaby said she might be along as well.

You can ask to go through your birth notes with a midwife. But TBH at this stage I would expect that most of us still had issues with our birth experiences. It is bound to be very raw at 5 or 6 weeks in so try not to worry too much yet and give yourself some time.

There are quite a few ladies on here who are struggling to come to terms with their experiences and quite a few of them are because of an Emergency Caesarean. You are not alone xx
