Beenie, are you lurking? Going to booby group tomorrow? :)

Dora, what about you.. lurking? Feeling okay about your second week at work?

AF, you too.. lurking? How are you feeling about work now?

Only here quickly as off to bed, not been lurking today! Did the shopping and then spent the afternoon in bed as I was up all last night with Daniel. He couldn't breathe properly due to being full of snot (poor baby) so I was cream crackered and needed sleep!
Not really looking forward to it as I will probably get my log ins for my computer tomorrow and where I've been placed to sit is nowhere neat anyone else. Great :(
    Anyway good night all xx

Glad I'm not the only one, although I haven't done it yet so I'm worse. I just don't have any desire to do it :o

I have desire...but at odd times, never when it is practical! Then by the time we go to bed (usually 12ish) we are both shattered and it is too late :o

Must make more of an effort!

Edit - we are doing it occasionally, just not often enough to please either of us!!

MFD - My benefits are pretty good (Civil Service), and if you have a sick child, you are allowed 1 day paid which is supposed to be to arrange childcare for the child. If you need to take longer then it would either be annual leave, unpaid, or pretend you are sick yourself and therefore receive full pay (but p*** everyone else off who don't have kids and have to cover for you!)

Went looking at highchairs today. Thought the Ikea one was ok for a slightly older child, but not sure I would feel comfortable leaving H sitting in it as it doesn't have a 5 point harness. Think we might get one to have at my parents' house and get a different one for us. Not sure what though. Need to go and try out some more I think.

Sound similar to MM. I think I will go that way (hopefully without the lying!!)

Is there a reason that you want a 5 point harness on a highchair? It is not like the highchair is moving about!! I don't even fasten Benjamin in most of the time...although 3's V climbs out of her Antilop and sits on the tray!!! Do you have a climber too?

Hope Daniel feels better soon Wi3, it's awful cos they can't blow their nose. I had my fondue bowl thing with water and vicks in when Caitlyn was bunged up and had it burning for a couple of hours before we went to bed.

.. When is it you actually go back to work Elle?

I start my new job properly 17th May, although I'm not working that day cos that's Rhys' birthday :p But I'm doing ten KIT days from Easter spread between HR (to teach the temp-now-perm lady a few things and also to cover for her while she's on a 6wk holiday(!!)) and new job (to set up my office and to sit in on a few meetings and spend some time with the guys I'll be working for... to find out what they actually do! :o).

I can have all of my holidays paid up if I want but what they usually do it pay some and carry over 4-5 so you've got extra to cover any extra days you might need off because of poorly kids :)

  • Night Everyone - work in the morning.

Wi3 - hope Daniel feels better soon, I found propping up the head of Katie's cot helped her breathing.
