We have just had the Parish Magazine delivered, will se if I can copy and paste if it's online!
Not online yet, but what he's written adds to what I've said, about how he thinks people need to change their way of seeing the church!Too many children, too little time!!!

what type of vicar 'doesnt do christenings' ?
to have moved parishes 3 times in 6 years does seem quite extreme. most are in a parish for several years.
is it the christening that is upsetting you most or that he wont marry you and have the christening on the same day?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I think it's the christening that is really bothering me.Too many children, too little time!!!

ok, you need to sepak to him again and explain that you really want a proper christening. As a vicar i'm sure this is one of his 'jobs' not a naming ceremony or dedication (think Krystal had this). And in the nicest way possible, say that if he's not willing to do that, can he give you contact details of another vicar who will.
his role is not to 'impose' his thoughts and beliefs on his congregation but to lead them.
i must admit i really dislike the 'clap-happy' style church. i'm a tradtionalist at heart. So I hope our vicar will do christenings. I do have a back-up plan though just in case...'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
when you use ice cube trays to freeze purees, do you cover them?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Hi Tara, Hugs for you, it sounds really tricky, and quite disappointing too after all the thinking you've put into it all

What denomination of church is it if you don't mind me asking? It's just that some church denominations will always offer a christening in their building and some will only do it if certain criteria are met.

choppy, did you keep the crawl ball or the similar one from Boots? Just reminded me as Rhys is playing with his crawl ball now. He doesn't go anywhere, but will lay on the floor, pushing himself on on his hands watching it for ages, then lunge for it when it stops

[STRIKE]Choppy - I had the do after Katie's Christening at home, I didn't bother with decorations, not enough room for people and decorations. I think I got my table cloth from Woolies.[/STRIKE]
