God I love Spar! I jut got 5 packets of beef mince 500g for £2 and 4 packets of steak mince 350g for £2 ( that stuff is nice! )

I have no room in my freezer mind, so I better cook it all up.

I have so much to do and no motivation to do anything. Ho hum, as usual.

Keira was singing Christmas songs on the bus to nursery, not even quietly, proper bawling them out, I did tell her it wasn't Christmas but that was irrelevant.

All together now, WHEN SANTA GOT STUCK UP THE CHIMNEY......

You've just reminded me that I once found 300 fags in a tesco bag in a bus stop. I sold them to my neighbour! Quite bad but I was only about 15


I went along to Tesco and MIL was delighted to see K! His wee face light up when he seen her it was sooooo cute! He ended up with a swarm of admirers and some not very happy looking customers left queing at the butcher/fish counter :rotfl:


Just phoned and cancelled K's jags for Wednesday as hes got a wee sniffly cold, next appointment in a fortnight so hes well late with the 3rd lot!

finances- we wre stupid with money for the frst few years. was awful really. used to write 'pay day cheques' so we could get by. and then it all came to a head and one month with charges etc we had no money whatsoever. the bank (first direct) were actually great and advised me to get in touch with CCCS, we had when it was all totalled £18000+ of debt. i was horrified. we had a strictish budget but managed on it. and with commission from work were ok. never had money just to do on the spur of the monent things. we now owe just £1250. just a few more months to go

will never use credit again. tbh dont think anyone would lend us money anyway for years and years!!

we juts have 1 account that wages get paid into and bills get paid. and if we have a little spare we have a treat each. not much but it all adds up.

cant wait till debt is finally cleared and we have a bit of spare money each month.

We have a joint account and a current account each. 60% of take home pay goes into the Joint and the remaining 40% is for spending/wasting or whatever.
The joint account pays mortgage, bills, groceries and any family things like meals out.

I run the joint account and make sure everything gets paid etc. If OH wants anything for himself and hes spent all his money tough !!!!!!! Same for me!

Just now with me being on SMP things are slightly different. OH only gets £100 a wk into his account, which is fine as he lift shares now so his petrol costs have halfed.

Me and OH keep meaning to get me on to his bank card but we never manage to arrange it because he's at work Mon - Fri and banks close at 12 on a Sat.

How it works in our house is, OH works and his money gets paid into his acc, I take the bank card and use it as I like

Lol, it's not that bad really but if I didn't manage the money (Ok I probably waste a bit too) then he'd have no clue what to pay, at all.

I asked him what we pay each month, he said -

Rent, Council tax, Tv license, The phone and sky. He looked all smug with himself too, until I told him that we also have Specsavers, House insurance, pet insurance, and according too him we pay £35 a month to the TV license :rotfl: Not forgetting leccy and gas!

That gets paid quarterly. He also seems to think everything should be a direct debit and then you can just forget about it, but you can't do that! Especially now his job isn't safe. I refuse to pay the rent by direct debit because I do with the council tax and they CONSTANTLY go for it early, some months the bank has been V low, and if they went for the rent early we'd of had a charge.

I buy all the groceries, and I do it online usually and ask him what he would like etc, and he just says "Whatever" So whatever! Because he works, he tells me if he wants/needs anything and i'll pop into town and get him it.

He is more of a saver than a spender, though we never quite manage to save, though we are INTENDING to save 1k this month.....He just got paid 2 days ago so we will see

Oh yes and I feel like phoning the local police to grass up some douchebag who NEVER indicated and almost ploughed me as I was coming out of Keira's nursery, as he was on his mobile. I even wrote down his license plate!

Would they even fine him? I guess there is no proof, but mobiles are banned for a reason and you shouldn't be using them outside an area where kids are likely to run out etc.

BM, I did that after someone almost ran us off the road just before Christmas. Apparently they only respond if you call from the scene; afterwards there's nothing they can do - but they take details of the event in case there's another complaint about the same person later.

angel- just noticed on mysupermarket it gives the calorie contents. clicked out but will go back and check for you.

which formula is it??
Stage 1 has 67cal per 100ml
Stage 2 has 69cal per 100ml
Stage 3 has 70-74 cal per 100ml
Growing up milk has 67cal per 100ml
vanilla flavours has 79 cal per ml

full fat moo milk is 64cal per 100ml

so not a huge difference except if you use vanilla flavoured which was a Hipp milk

We both have a current account and then a joint account for the bills, which we both pay into and then I have seperate pots for things like car, holiday and xmas which I add into through the year as I get paid more than OH... Mind you when we were first married he wanted to pay all his wages into my account :eek:

Just been on the bus (4 stops) then to the park as its lovely and sunny here, lunch at local church cafe and then back 2 stops on the bus.... waiting now while sat in the garden with a cuppa for my new phone to arrive:j hopefully all this fresh air will knock Henry out ( i wish)
