PP - Will this be baby 9 for you (or am I imagining that)

Yes it will, DS1 doesn't live at home any more.. which is why only 7 need squeezing into the car

Lol.. I know how that is.. we have a ford focus.. and 7 children.. and the baby is due July/August, we just cannot even think about a new car.

Ha!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! (you are also totally stark raving mad!) Hope it all goes well Piggers :)
*says in alittle voice* ... stop talking about cars you're all making me jealous :o:rotfl:x

Really? End of Dec - £66 road tax. Middle of Feb - £180 + £50 MOT Today £35 MOT, failed, upto £200 tomorrow to be repaired and MOT then £120 road tax. plus, possible fine for not having road tax (it expires at midnight tonight) because I am so thick and I forget that both need MOTing this month.

    Still jealous?

    That's horrible, Tia, I'm sorry :(

It was fun while it lasted and if nothing else, a huge learning experience. Would do it again in a few years once trade picks up, but with a lot more experience.

Yep 7 seater and a boot!! It is the Grand Espace we are going for...looked at the Espace and not really any more boot than most other 7 seaters....If this one is gone I will just scour the net and papers because I have my mind set on it now, would have been nice to get a different colour as it ust happens to be almost identical in colour to our car:cool:

Sorry, I meant grand espace, was being lazy. The espace is fine for us because we just remove 1 seat, but the grand espace is huge inside. The trajet has no boot, you could fit a cheap unbrella buggy in and thats it, so we took a seat out, its now a 6 seater :D I hate that car though, really really hate it.

Jillie, for an all terrain try and pick up a used XTS twister. Buy some slime for the tyres. Honestly it is great. Heavy, but we keep it in the car so it's not as if we need to fold it for the bus or anything, but for outdoors, I love it. During all that snow, everyone with their little fancy prams were alllik e'oh ma gawd, I so can't like, push this uber expensive fancy pram with ipod dock' and I was all like 'swoosh, see ya! Snow drift? What snow drift? Oh you mean that one I just ploughed through?! Hell yeah!' and stuff.

Basically, a 3 wheeler with huge tyres will do. But buy slime for the blow up ones, its so totally awesome that stuff!

Glam is it the clip and go one I sold mine ages ago.

Speaking of ebay I now have a till, box of till rolls, changing/bath station and a whole load of junk to list and sell. So sad seeing the shop being emptied :(

Oh that reminds me I have one of those as well :D
The other one I meant was the Samsonite Rival Carrier :)

Pigpen - you'd need a minibus for 9 kids, you and OH!

SM - aw hun, it won't be long til you pass your test & get a car. But like Mel said LOADS of hassle unless you buy newish. I was fed up of needing 'something' done on the car, brakes, battery, oil change (which involved moving the engine!) that I gave up and have had a brand new car and then 2 not so new (3months and a year old).

I am so hoping they don't ring tomorrow and say it's not ready :(
I woke up in the night with Jack and was gutted cos it wasn't the morning so meant more time til I get it. Big kid? Me? Never :rotfl:

Done my meal plan for March and written my shopping list so I plan to go out brave ASDA as soon as Jack gets up and not go back to bed.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

tia ... drag kids to school on a cool, rainy, snowy day ... doing the food shop when ever you fancy .. not constantly walking up hills while pushing a heavy buggy ... when you fancy taking the kids out you have to find the times or trains or buses then make sure you pay in advance or that you pay in advance and by a railcard just so its cheap enough for a day out but then it still costs you over £80 for a trip just to see the family for the day .. just to name a few ..

still not sure if its worth it :p :rotfl: x

We never call her Mollywobbles but maybe I will :rotfl:

Experience is good but it's still very horrible. I hope it all comes together soon, lovely :grouphug:

Speaking of new cars I saw a VW passat estate while we were out earlier. An 06 reg and it was 5195 - that seems quite cheap to me for a 3/4year old VW? However, I do like my present car and we need the 6 seats it has for when we go on hol in July - otherwise I would be quite tempted!

Don't get me wrong Searching, I would not be without my car at all now. I don't think I could go on a bus either, in fact, with DH being a bas driver I should get a pass for free travel for me and the kids... nope, his mum gets it.
