Caz, I have family in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy and a friend in Pitlessie. No idea where Auchterarder is though! Would need to check it on a map.

    Oooooooo!

Glam, that sounds like when I took Finn swimming the other week. I wound up having to lay him on the floor (on a towel, of course) as there was just nowhere else to go! Absolutely freezing, too.

Susan, while we are on the subject. OH is actually starting to mention homeschooling quite frequently, do you have any good sites for information that I could show him?
    Education Otherwise.
(HSLDA also has some useful information but is US based so obviously a lot is US specific whereas Education Otherwise is UK specific.)

ETA: If you're looking for home education resources or curriculum ideas, googling methods you are interested in can be helpful (e.g. Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Classical). Ambleside Online gives a suggested Charlotte Mason style curriculum. Also, here is a link to my Diigo home education bookmarks although I don't seem to have a lot in it.

Its a fab buggy, but the wheels have already started squeaking, not impressed at all!! Waiting for a nice-ish day so I can WD40 them out in the garden :(

Wow! What you have planned for Alice sounds fab. I had no idea you were a qualified teacher when I asked though, or if I did I had forgotten :o
Its interesting what you say about not needing school to socialise. I think personally my views on that bit are a bit skewed, cos my parents didnt socialise me with other kids when I was little, and when I got to playschool/school I had no idea how to act around others and just hung around the helpers and teachers, cos I was only used to being around adults. I feel awful for almost doing the same thing with Seth, as the groups I've gone to are full of cliquey people around here, but he is getting that interaction when he is at the CM's so he should be fine... I hope

Oooh, now I am getting confused. I have been away from my work for too long! Is Perth in Fife? I work with the police so I class Perth as Tayside?! And you are definitely Tayside Scruffy!! Except when in Grampian lol.
