She has refused money, so try a decent bottle of vino, 1 a week sayANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

14 miles * 3 = 42mile = approx 1 gall petrol = approx £5
divide by 2 = £2.50
But she is helping you save money, and time, and she has insurance to pay..... so give her the full £5 per week.
But from a different angle you are a fat cat (8K more) so just give her what you would pay on public transport and just save on the time and inconvenience.0 -
Take her out for lunch every week? Buy a gift instead?
Your colleague sounds really kind."It's official, MSE's harbouring total fruitcakes">^..^<0 -

presumably you brighten up her day with your excellent conversation so deduct that from the amount above0 -
She may not want to accept cash payment as that could invalidate her insurance. You could offer to pay for petrol when she fills up."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

has anyones insurance ever been invalidated for giving a freind a lift to work in return for a few quid?
i know strictly speaking its hire and reward but has it ever been done?...work permit granted!0 -
Paying expenses for lifts does not invalidate insurance.
Paying more than expense does.0 -
What about treating her to lunch once a week, wont cost more than a couple of quid, but its the thought thats nice, as she does for you.0
