Wanna: Lease hire a car

My Mum used to have an A3 5 door, nice car she liked. Then she wanted a convertible, test drove the convertible A3 and I talked her into trying a BMW 120i convertible. After that the A3 was dismissed as a dull car to drive, she has a 120i now and loves it.
I'm not trying to talk you into a 1 series (just gently hinting to try one:p;)) but it's worth remembering we only live once and all that, so if the Scirroco is affordable and you love it, do it!
I don't see the point in wasting money and a car I don't like when I can have one I do like for a little more, so long as I can afford it. Otherwise you might as well go really cheap with Vauxhall Corsa or somthing similar.
You need to test drive these cars if you haven't already.0 -
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I totally disagree with AdrianHi. Case in point. I picked up a one year old BMW 530d with 6k on the clock. Dealer list price new for that model was £46k. I got it for £29k on a PCP plan. New, the car on PCP would have been over £900 a month. I pay £380 a month. How is buying new any better?
I'm back in this situation where I want a used car on PCP but can't seem to find the website I used before who would quote based on the reg of the vehicle.0 -

I never said buying new was better and in fact what you did with that 530d is exactly in line with my philosophy and the point I was trying to make.0 -

If you don't mind me asking, in order to pay £380/month, how much deposit did u have to place? Also did you finance the car directly through BMW? The reason I ask is because I am in a similar situation (want to purchase used BMW for £25k) but can't get such low monthly payments...

Sure, I paid £7k deposit.
As BMW are their own bank (they supply their own finance) you can haggle the APR. Mine was 4% after some negotiating. The APR is often where the margins can make a bif difference.0
