Applied for Go Mobile/ IPhone Contract- Help Required

Hi there

Wasnt sure which section to put this in but was wondering if any one would be able to help

Hubby applied thru quidco for an iphone thru gomobile / Orange but got an email in the last hour saying that his application had deen declined. For some stupid reason someone at gomobile put the application thru twice- the first time it was accepted (this is what Orange told him) and because there was another application immediately, he was then declined- so now hes sitting with both an accepted application and a declined application for a blinking iphone!!!

So i wanted to know has anyone had this happen before and if something like this is detrimental to things like credit scores....they didnt say they would be doing two applications...and am a bit panicked

check your credit report, if you've been credit checked for the same thing twice in sucession, they should remove the record of the search..... its probably been declined as a possible fraudulent application (though usually these would be 'referred' as duplicates), but if you just call and square up with them hope fully they'll use the original application.... this is a reason why i stopped using 3rd party phone providers, i remember my credit file looking crazy when phones4u ran credit checks on every network just so they could see if i qualified for their current in-store promo

hubby finally got it sorted out (ie he is getting an iphone) so now i need to check his credit report!
