Welcome Finance I think are taking the p!

I had a loan with WF claimed back the PPI at the beginning of October and still havent had any payment and today I am absolutely raging mad!:eek::mad::eek::mad::(:( my rebook and cancel re WF was meant to be resolved by 22nd January. I emailed the person dealing with it and got this reply!

I have asked our IT department for an update and got this reply
"TD9954 (19 agreements) - this has failed testing and has been returned to Fiserv for further work. No ETA as yet"

Unfortunately, this is not the news we were after. It was determined that IT would not be able to implement the resolution in it's current form for the specific technical defect which is affecting your account and 18 others. Fiserv is the third party company working on technical defects with our systems.

What this means for you is that we cannot yet proceed with the outstanding cancel and rebook process, and at present we do not have a date when Fiserv intend to provide us with an updated resolution. Having said that, I think it is positive that they have a fix that that I hope will only require minor tweaking before it can be implemented to our live financial sytems. This will allow us to complete the rebooking process and settle your complaint.

I offer my sincere apologies for the continuing delay in settling your complaint, and for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for the patience you have shown to date. I would ask that you remain patient a little while longer until we can complete the rebooking process and issue the financial redress in accordance with FOS guidelines.

I understand that this will come as a disappointment for you. I hope to be in touch again soon with better news. Please rest assured that as soon as I have an update regarding the expected resolution I will contact you to keep you fully informed.

Has anyone got any suggestions as I dont think I can email him back in the frame of mind I am in just now or I might just loose it completely!

They have palmed me off with excuse after excuse blaming IT problems with whoever they deal with for this process their 3rd Party surely there must be something I can do to hurry this up!

    Sorry to hear this hun.

Wonder if it will be worth you contacting the FSA, maybe worth a try, explain to these about this matter, maybe they will offer to help as well, give it a go.

  • Skintmumofone,

I am claiming my PPI back off of them and through the FOS, I recently contacted the FOS as I had,nt heard anything and the FOS have indicated that WF are currently working on August/September claims so mine was also in October, so I am not too concerned as the FOS pointed out, 'all though this may not help if you need the refund, but they still have to pay the interest up to actual settlement', so a couple more weeks with the added 8% may come in handy.

    hope this helps.

    regards Chopper

  • Hi

still heard nothing from WF since 22nd January!, so phoned my local branch again to be told they still have an IT issue and as it is an external issue, was told to phone compliance which I did and was told that they have a standard reply for all complaints now which is that it will be resolved by end of February! I said to her well I wont hold my breath and if I dont get this resolved I will take it further. Said I have been extremely patient with this company since October and have been palmed off every time I have called and now the email has bounced it is saying now no external emails are being sent to individual staff members. Great fun now I have no way of knowing anything! Oh the joys, the quicker I can get money to pay those scumbags off the better - oh please let me win the euromillions on Friday then I would have £113 million reasons to be cheerful lol

I have received my final response, no news of how much they may be sending, but will have to wait, although I think my refund may become a little difficult due to the fact the loan is with a debt management company, and they have since sent me out a new loan agreement for the original loan (taken out in July 2008) without the PPI but the start date is for Feb 2010, and even though i have been paying it at a reduced rate through the Debt Management company, would wonder if they would offset the payment towards the debt therefore wiping some of it off? Or would they kindly repay the payments back to me with the 8% interest :D(which is a merserly 46.8% less than their interest rate!!!)

Will have to wait and see!:o

    Keep fresh peeps

    Regards
    Chopper
