Okay,
Briefly. Got b.t. broadband and homephone oh and mobile phone ( mobile due to expire in May 2010 ).
My quarterly b.t. phone bill is getting higher and higher and could really do without this.
I want to go with someone who is cheaper but also not have the inconvenience of changing telephone numbers or broadband user name. We use this a lot for our business.
£185.00 quarter for b.t. home phone and internet ( £22.00 mon intern )
£35.00 a month for mobile b.t. phone.
£29.50 for sky family package.
The top one is killing us at the moment and family suggested going with TALKTALK.
What do you guys think??
Thanks

No need to. You can either stay with BT for line rental only or move to another phone provider and say you want to keep your number.or broadband user name. We use this a lot for our business.
Not sure what you are on about here?? Do you mean email address. If so that will probably change. Choose a free email provider like gmail or gmx mail and then you can change ISP without worrying in future.£185.00 quarter for b.t. home phone and internet ( £22.00 mon intern )
So £119 per quarter for phone? How much of that is line rental and how much calls? The top one is killing us at the moment and family suggested going with TALKTALK.
Are you in a TalkTalk LLU exchange? What other LLU providers are available on your exchange? Is O2/Be available.

That's about £40 a month just on line rental and phone calls ?
Have you looked at considering Sky for your broadband and phone line - as you already have the TV?
Sky line rental is £11/mth and then you can get free evening & weekends calls or pay an extra £5 for free anytime calls - plus some inclusive international calls too. You don't have to take the line rental to get the call plans - but either way I'm pretty sure you can keep your BT number.
Plus, then if you have Sky phone - you then get a £5/mth discount on Sky Broadband - making it either Free for 2Mb speeds, £5/mth for 10Mb speeds or £15/mth for 20Mb speeds and unlimited usage (still all less than what you're already paying).0 -
yes sorry i do mean not changing my email address.
£46.00 on calls alone
£102.00 on the line rental.
We are in the talktalk llu . Just spoke to them and they where more than helpful. Couldn't believe what my january quarterly bill from b.t. was:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
£46.00 on calls alone
Quite hefty on call charges - what kind of numbers do you phone and when?£102.00 on the line rental.
£34 per month for line rental??? What does this include? BT's lowest calling plan is £11.54.We are in the talktalk llu . Just spoke to them and they where more than helpful. Couldn't believe what my january quarterly bill from b.t. was
Have you looked to see what else is available?
TalkTalk is not known for good customer service.0 -
O2? I think they are great, and you are guaranteed to have top notch customer service. They are just abotu to introduce home phone service in March.
I would personally stay from CPW (Talk Talk), head some many bad stories about them.0 -
im with talk talk, my bill is around £25.00 a month. this is broadband and calls all day and abroad.
quarter would be £75
i have blocked mobiles from this line.
i use my mobile to ring mobiles im on o2 simplicity, monthly, 800 mins, free weekends utld texts. my bill is usally just over £20 every month
have seen a good deal with vodafone, 1200 mins, 3,00 text, free net and free calls to landlines which is £25 a month, so im thinking of changing..is this any good to youi will be debt free, i will0 -
Hi Raq,
Is your e-mail address linked to your ISP? If so you'd need to speak to them to see if this would remain active if you decided to leave. You also say that you use the line for Business - if that is the case you may be better looking at a TalkTalk Business line as TalkTalk is a residential service and we don't support Business use over our network.
If you need any information regarding TalkTalk, availability or LLU then please let me know
Cheers

Frankly, Emma, whatever Raq intends using his line for he is best off avoiding any TalkTalk line unless he really does want to think he's signed-up for one rate only to be sent a letter saying that he has been given a "great value" 23% price increase.0

Have just moved to the upstairs flat after living downstairs for 5 years, (landlord renovating) and there is a 'dead' line upstairs. Unlikely we will move back downstairs as will be too expensive. BT will charge us £125 to reinstate this and we are currently with AOL for broadband at £14.99 per month. But of course at present we have neither and BT will be at least another week comming to reinstate line. Also we had a rather brief but very unhappy experience with Talk Talk 3 years ago, so don't wnat to go there! Does anyone have any suggestions??0
