Does it have a recovery partition? When it's booting up you may notice it say something like "Press X to enter system recovery" where X is most likely a function key. Pressing that should boot the windows installer, or a recovery subsystem that will allow you to format and reinstall.

Alternatively you can get USB DVD/CD drives

Netbooks I have done are either reinstalled from a pen drive or from a USB Romdrive.

Much easier from a ROM because no formatting is required to boot from usb pen drive.

All net books support usb boot. so no need to change bios settings.

In theory thats what it means but formatting the usb pendrive must be done so it boots like a cd.

I promise you it would be easier to borrow or plugin a usb cdrom drive.

It makes little difference what make it is except the manufacturer will have pendrive format instructions. In principal there is little difference.

People asking questions are never thick. Thats why they ask questions!

Do you know anyone with a USB CD rom drive? This is the easiest option.
