Hi, are the time settings not available to change?
Computers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.

I cant find any such options
I've been through all the menus and to be honest what options there are I find very limiting
It's a good prrogram in many ways and I always rated it very highly but now I start to discover the downside

yes I have a laptop with Vista and a desktop running Win 7.

I just tried out Microsoft Money and was able to import Quicken files but its horrible.
It seems to assume too much and even talks to me like I was stupid. so that one is not for me

GoTo Tools/Options and switch 90% of the stuff off and it behaves very well, It does electronic banking [ most do not have this function ] from UK or worldwide accounts and auto reconciles. Apart from allowing it the capacity to (1) download from my bank and (2) change the MEMO fields all other box's are unchecked if that's any help.

I've used it for a decade - it's worth persevering with, much better product than Quicken of any version. The trick is when you first install and before you set up an account allow it to auto-update then it will do UK banks and and UK cheques Numbers etc.

Accounts software is a very personal thing I'm still using the 2004 version, that's six years worth of excellent service for coppers !

If you want to use a newer version of Quicken, you can buy the one that is still sold in the USA and Canada. If you're not doing international transactions then just read £ for US$.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanks, I may try that. I'm going to the states in may but first I'll try Richies idea and see how that goes
