Have a number of jobs around the house need doing, and no decent tool box.... or, to be more precise, a lack of decent tools for the jobs that need doing (bought myself a metal toolbox a couple of years back, but haven't yet stocked it up!). So today I picked up a set of spanners, a set for removing spoiled screws (initially for outside light - needed bulb changing over 3 years ago and DH decided to have a go, but used totally the wrong screwdiver and we've not been able to open up the casing since then  ), an Allen key set (much sturdier than my previous set that cost £1!), and a nice little hammer (fairly heavy, but only a short handle - so I think I'll find it easier to use than the 'full size' one I have).
Also picked up a set of spare bulbs for the car while I was there. I used to have a lovely boxed set (bought when I drove to Germany in 1990!), but it eventually cracked so I used up the bulbs and then threw it away. But they had a set in a more compact box which should fit in my glove box (along with everything that's already there) rather than the door pocket which is where my last one lived.
Oh my goodness. Anyone else both impressed and frightened at the same time by all of this knowledge and ability and motivation and tools and things?
I own a hammer and some screwdrivers. Although there is one missing from the set. I accidentally stabbed myself in the forehead with it and in a fit of temper threw it as far as I could away from the house along with the shoe I was errrm trying to fix with the screwdriver ahem. It didn't go very far as I'm a bit of a girly thrower and both items lay there for a week reminding me of the dreadful event until I'd calmed down enough to pick them up and put them in the bin.
Today WILL be a NSD0 -
Oh how I sympathsise with the struggle to achieve an NSD
Monday was shopping wiv me muvva, Weds I put petrol in No2's car as we were supposed to be going out then it didn't happen  & yesterday was the dreaded mot so also did the grocery shop. My dilemma is whether to say today is an NSD, as the parts needed to get Victoria legal again were not in stock so has to go back to the garage this afternoon...ermm...I'll see if I can hold strong & not buy anything else, & will declare one way or t'other tomorrow.

Only manged one NSD so far - that was Weds when we had to attend a funeral.
Yesterday ended up in town and me and OH had lunch out (£9 total) so I thought since I'd spent, I may as well go get the food shopping bits I wanted for the weekend.
Planning NSD today. In fact planning to have a few if I can - I forgot to get crumpets and brown bread though so will be baking today and attempting to make crumpets for the first time everworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Oh dear, Tashja, sorry things are a bit stressful for you at the moment. Weekend coming up though! Hope you managed an NSD today.
Hi to everyone else
Didn't get to update yesterday, but it was a very serious spend day - making up for lost time I think:o:o:o:o.
Hoping to manage another NSD so far, made it to 4pm without spending anything, fingers crossed for the rest of the day. Back later to upate.
Well done everyone.
