2 big fails here for me :( Bloody Boots Meal Deals got me both days - day 1 it ws bedlam at Picadilly due to someone being killed on one of the platforms - police everywhere and just general chaos which sent me into a panic so I ended up in Boots to clam down and buy lunch. Today was panic at home after 2 year old being up most of night and then me and DH not hering the alarm and him waking up at 7.50 for a 7.55 train !!! Me not being organised ended up buying lunch again !!!

I have managed to avoid the coffee shops though so £5.10 saved there over 2 days and I have been using work coffee instead !!

It is a NSD for me tomorrow though a have lunch ready to go and only £3 (train fare) on me and not taking anymore cash or cards with me. Also think I am doing 2 hours overtime tomorrow so will mke the cost of lunches back !!

Hope everyone is ok - bit stressed here but will cope :)

2nd day of the month with no grocery spends for me, so now at 2 NSDs for the challenge :)

Unfortunately not a total NSD :o

Have a number of jobs around the house need doing, and no decent tool box.... or, to be more precise, a lack of decent tools for the jobs that need doing (bought myself a metal toolbox a couple of years back, but haven't yet stocked it up!). So today I picked up a set of spanners, a set for removing spoiled screws (initially for outside light - needed bulb changing over 3 years ago and DH decided to have a go, but used totally the wrong screwdiver and we've not been able to open up the casing since then  ), an Allen key set (much sturdier than my previous set that cost £1!), and a nice little hammer (fairly heavy, but only a short handle - so I think I'll find it easier to use than the 'full size' one I have).

Also picked up a set of spare bulbs for the car while I was there. I used to have a lovely boxed set (bought when I drove to Germany in 1990!), but it eventually cracked so I used up the bulbs and then threw it away. But they had a set in a more compact box which should fit in my glove box (along with everything that's already there) rather than the door pocket which is where my last one lived.

Magnificent SECOND for me today! My February spending spreadsheet is a thing of beauty!

I know exactly what you mean. My favourite past time is gazing lovingly at my various spreadsheets and tweaking them here and there to squeeze extra pennies out. I have spreadsheet OCD but I don't care! Everything goes onto a spreadsheet. If something isn't on the spreadsheet then it never ever happened m'laud. And everything has to go into a category and reconcile and balance. See what I mean ......OCD. Fortunately I have a VERY understanding BF.

I even have graphs. Do you have graphs? I love my graphs. I love my spreadsheets.

How is this relevant to this thread? I record my NSD's on spreadsheet silly!
  • Had a wobbly 2 days after starting well, but i was back on track yesterday. Aiming for a NSD today :T. Good luck all :).

Aww T, I can sympathise. I remember when I last worked in Manchester City Centre those coffee shops cost me a small fortune. x

  • You are all doing so well...I haven't managed one yet! It's all in my Debt free wanna be diary, so am not gonna post all about it here. But please, let today be the day!

Wondering if 14 was a little ambitous, but am going to try and pull it back!
