Hi all, well im on CD 16 on my CBFM and still high!!
Does the LH line (pee end) get darker at one point?

Perhaps you should interpret those lines as well.
You may be one of those people with less LH hormones than normal, or one who has a short LH surge.

    Do you temp?

  • Quick question.
What is the doc likely to do if I make an appointment to say we're obviously having a few problems ?
What sort of tests will they do & will they need for us both to go ?
Im 39, he's 41 so time is not on our side. Ive been off the pill over 2yrs thinking we'll just let nature take its course but have been "actively" trying 4 months now.
Main problem is OH works away Mon to Fri so not good for DTD at the right times or for making doctors appointments !

The pee end is LH line, and the other end is Estrogen (the one that looks like a control line and is almost always there).

Once the machine reads high estrogen (the line is lighter), then it'll say 'High', and remains so until it see the LH line darken, when they say 'Peak'.

High estrogen (High) = lighter non pee end line.
High LH (Peak) = darker pee end line.

    Here's some explanation:

They'll ask you about how regular your cycles are.

They will probably do some blood tests at CD3 & CD21, and semen analysis for your OH.
I think you should say you have been trying since you've been off the pill (ie 2 years).

Other possible tests are an trans-vaginal ultrasound.
They may give you Clomid to get your eggs to be stronger.

They may want to check your fallopian tubes to see if it is clear of obstructions.

    I'm at Clomid stage:p

My wife mentioned to the doctor that we've been trying since we got married, March last year, and they put us on the list. Whether or not we've actually been trying is anyone's guess, but it's since then that we've said "if it happens, it happens" so we counted from then. I am sure you came off the pill for a reason... ;)

We had all those tests too, except my wife renamed it. Trans-vaginal anything sounds painful, so when she went into the hospital, the receptionist smiled when my wife said that she was there for a transylvanian ultrasound... :T

Anyway, we were waiting for the appointment with the consultant, to discuss all the results. And then my wife fell pregnant... Since we now know that this won't be going anywhere, we've asked to be returned to the list, and have an appointment in 2 weeks, but will see how things settle down for a couple of months before going near anything like clomid...

    Hi all,

Well had both scans - had internal one as well, and it was fine. Said everything looked normal, couple of little cysts which harmless, and could see no reason why my periods so heavy and clots. Started asking where was in cycle, said now 4 days late. Said lining of womb still looked very thick and would be if I was due on. Explained again that AF late. But just said looked thick.

However...would it not be thick if I was pregnant?? Not getting hopes up in anyway......

As for ss'ing....well sore b o o bs and nipples very er tender, and I can't stop weeing!! So as I needed full bladder it was agony. Its not painful like cystitis, I just need to wee virtually after every drink! Oh..I was a bit sick this morning.......

So with all that I expect AF in morning!!

Hope everyone doing ok, usual hugs and chocolates shared amongst you.

    xx
