Pretty sure this is AF now. Feel utterly cacky. Sick, bad stomach pains albeit weird ones and just generally could do with a good lie down
On a plus side i'm now CD2 and apparently i'll start to be fertile again in 2 days time. Can someone please add some rationality as to how this is even possible??? Please?
Totally weird but hey, any excuse to get the BD action!Always a bright side!!!

Hi ladies, it's nearly the weekend . . . :j. My dh is working which is why we managed to have a day together today. Had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves. Planning on a nice relaxing eve with non baby making bd'ing (cd25). We bought a first response test today so now I'm gonna have to try my best to hold out till my proper test day! How accurate are they being so early? It says 6 days but that seems crazy. Af is due on 14th and planned my test for 15th. Anyone want to convince me to hold out?!
How are you all? Sorry about the AF arrivals ((hugs)).

First response?? How much did that cost? Imagine a BFN and then AF still not shows and you have to go buy another one. And another one. And another one. Could get expensive! Better off waiting a few days
Convincing enough?Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
I agree, the cheapie 99p store ones work just as well, cost 10% of the price, and do the job. Once they show BFP then use the first response to confirm the good news. Don't waste the first response one unnecessarily, not at that cost... this is MSE after all.... Imagine what Martin would say if he heard you wanting to waste money on a hpk if it was used too early and therefore wasted...?
PS my wife maintains that the 3 for 99p hpk strips weren't accurate, and that they were too cheap to work. But then they had always told her that she wasn't pregnant, until last week when they said she was... So the cheapie ones can't be that bad... And if they work that well, why would anybody want to spend a fiver on a test when the same thing is available for 33p...?Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

Blimey, I feel totally ripped off! Where do I get these cheaper ones? I might take it back cos I'd prefer to put the dosh towards a clear blue for final confirmation once I've done the cheapies. I suppose it's early ttc excitement. Cheers for the info guys.

Afternoon All
CD15, still high, and day 10 of testing on the CBFM, which means I'll be using most of my remaining sticks, bought 2 boxes of twenty from ebay this morning, £28.50 inc postage, hopefully having stocked up we'll fall on and I can sell them on again lol!
Hope everyone is having a good day, its my boss's 40th so she brought in cake- lots of it, and most of it is going home with me as I cannot stand wasting it!Must do some exercise to burn it off tonight.

HPK are widely available, at rip-off prices. However it is possible to buy 3 for 99p at (funnily enough) the 99p store... or savers (the shop)... But if you don't have either then it might be a bit of a hike, and not worth it... They're valid and work for a while so maybe if you ever pass a shop that sells them, see what offers there are and stock up with a few. We had about 5 boxes of 3, at one point, now I think most of them have been used up... 15 tests for a fiver, or 1 test for £7... tough call....Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0

Not really. No, neither of those shops nearby but I'll look about on eBay. It's good to get info from here as I hadn't realised they could be bought so cheaply0
