Trying for a Baby part 5....

I got my sticks from ebay - I'll post a link to seller if you like or pm you.
Congrats on your first high:)
I've had highs from CD12-21 zzz. Probably something to do with taking Soy or having PCOS:o No ewcm yet, so peak is not imminent anyway.
Will I make peak before stick 20?
Femme, your determination not to test till July is admirable:cool:
I tested at 13DPO my first cycle (not ttc, but not preventing):o
Miseymoo, sorry for your bad PMS, better get pg asap, but then, you'll probably get far worse symptoms than PMS (but worth it):D
Perdi, welcome to club CBFM!:j
Make sure you add it on your sig;)
A note to CBFM newbies, the stick has one side that's absorbent, and the shiny side that's not. Be careful:p
Also, you need 4 AAA batteries (the ones you use for TV remotes).
Fantafan, great news about your cabin:T
Also, good on your DH not forgetting his pills:cool:
I was impressed when I found my DH doing the same:shocked:
Rachel, perhaps you ov'd late?
Do you track your ov? EWCM?
Your cycle may be still trying to settle down. (((Hugs))).
Pebbles:wave: I don't use opks, but use BBT thermometers. It is cheap, and will tell you *after* you ov'd. Not good for making babies, but great for knowing where you are. I use www.fertilityfriend.com to input the data.
I check cervical mucus for my ov which is pretty accurate:
http://www.fertilinet.com/Cervical%20Fluid%20and%20Fertility.htm
If you can't see much of a cm, you can drink grapefruit juice to make it more runny.
You can use ovulation predictor kits as well, I never used one, only CBFM.
Good luck:j0 -
morning everyone, I hope you all hve good days, sending lots of PMA and sticky baby dust to you x0

the surgeons said it isnt a 100% no to being able to have a baby, but that it might be a long road, one for conceiving, the other seeing if my insides will actually stretch to carry to full term.
Have you discussed it with your GP if she/he is any good?
Consider CBFM? I will pray for the right and safe thing to happen for you.
Rachael hugs.
CD3 I think, and horrible! Where's Sammy she's testing tomorrow.
Hugs for all those whose OH's are away. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
so, what i am wondering is, is there any way that i can test to see if im actually ovulating? my cycle has been all over the place, from 19 days, up to 42!
Hey Pebbles. This website might help understand charting: http://www.storknet.com/cubbies/preconception/bbt.htm Or google BBT Charting to look at more websites. From reading other people's experiences using OPKs are a bit unreliable. As Quaver said though, charting doesn't predict when you've ovulated, but you can see that you have ovulated and for me it was a great way to know when to expect AF, and I also knew to keep on BDing till I'd seen the temperature shift.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Hey all.
Well still no AF for me, and was due last Monday so tested this morning and guess what????????????????? Yep, u guessed it, BFN!! Cant believe it, even hubby said he was dissapointed as we both thought it may have happened with me being late. I came off the pill in April and have a 'normal' period since then, and am now eagerly waiting AF - but dont 'feel' like its coming!! Anyone else had similiar experiences so i dont feel like a weirdo????
SBDTA XX XX XX XX
Sorry about the BFN. (hugs) I did have a similar experience and it turned out I had ov'd a week late that monthProbably not what you want to hear though, sorry. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

ChakaniIts our first month so Im not really expecting anything.the surgeons said it isnt a 100% no to being able to have a baby, but that it might be a long road, one for conceiving, the other seeing if my insides will actually stretch to carry to full term.
so, what i am wondering is, is there any way that i can test to see if im actually ovulating? my cycle has been all over the place, from 19 days, up to 42!
i have been reading about the cbfm, but that is very pricey to me, and if poss i would like to try a cheaper option first.
i have seen some of you discussing poas ovulation tests. how do they work, have people found them helpful?
i appreciate my question isnt exactly on thread, but would apreciate any pointers on the subject. if it makes any diff, the surgeons did say i would qualify for fast track fertility help, whatever that means?
its all new to me. I have got a application for helping me track my periods, but i struggle to understand it. my 'fluid' doesnt seem to match up with what it says it should be for my cycle??
I can only echo what others have said about speaking to the docs etc..and yes it might be worth having a look for OV sticks(ebay) but they don't work for everyone so if they don't work for you, don't be disheartened and try other possibilities:) You could also check for your cervical mucus if you're that way inclined;) Cheaper than OV sticks too:money: LINKY explains the cervical mucus stages etc
Out of curisoity how old are you??? No relevance just me being nosy:o
Oo might be worth speaking to the experiences ladies on the ttc 12+ thread too, a few of them have really been through the mill on their ttc journey:( and could probably answer a few of your questions a lot better than we can:)
To everyone else..HIYA:D:D:D I'm bored and lurking and saw GTS non-exciting testing list! *tut tut*:p:D so figured I'd help her out a bit:)
Hope alls well with you all and BOO to any BFNs and DOUBEL HISS BOO to the witch appearing! cowbag!:mad:SBDTA xxxxxxxxxxx

Hello ladies
Just got back from docs and feeling lots more positive.
My doc had a look at OH's results and said he didn;t think they were too bad. Not perfect but certainly not as bad as OH's doc had us believe.
Because his levels are low as are my progesterone levels then it would be difficult for us to conceive naturally and so he is referring us to Professor Liebman at St Mary's in Mcr (who is the king of fertility apparently) :T.
He said we are being referred for 'advice' and not for IVF. It is upto Prof what happens next, doc said there's loads of stuff he'll try before going down the IVF route as our results really aren't too bad. Feeling a lot more happier now, especially as CBFM is finally turned on.
On the down side it can be anything upto 12 months before we get our 1st appointment. One the plus side, after 5 years together, OH said in the car coming back that he is now giving serious consideration to us getting married. (I said last week I need some committment from him before embarking on this and wanted us to be as strong as poss as this may make us or break us). He said he understands and has been thinking along the same lines himself.
Not going to get my hopes up to much but can I have a fingers crossed smilie from you Fuzz that he asks me soon.........
SBDTA.....xx
i will read back over the other posts now......x0 -
Good news, dusty make sure he asks you properly and buys you a rock!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Dusty
he asks you soon:D:D And as for Prof Lieberman...he's supposed to be some sort of God of fertility in Manchester:j:j Lucky you:T Linky and fro conceiving and anything baby related...you can't get a better place 'Oop Norf' than St Marys IMO:D:T Very positive for you...now whats the betting you get your BFP just before the consultation?:rotfl:

Oh, I've been googling all morning Fuzz, there's nothing you can't tell me about the Prof lol!
I was hoping for St Mary's, had a feeling we might not get there as they are so popular but doc says we may have to wait a while (hence poss 12 months). I don't care as long as we are on the list.
Would be a dream come true if we got a BFP befoe getting there, doc says you'd be surprised how often that happens as couple relax about it all knowing they are on the road to help and so conceive naturally.....here's hoping.
Is it wrong that I'm very excited about a possible engagement, I'll bl00dy kill him if he doesn't do it soon. xxx0
