Yes it will be my first real period. i had the usual "pill period" on 12th April which was the last 1 from i stopped the pill on 6th April. so this one is my first proper period in 4/5 years!
AF is probably taking her time! I used to get really bad cramps before the pill, as yet nothing! but im sure she will spring up soon enough!

You've kinda scared me a little now, hope it wont take as long as 6 months to get into a routine! if i hada known that before now, i woulda stopped it months ago! lol

Don't feel scared...the odds are in your favour. When I came off (I was on the pill for 15 years) my doctor warned me it could take a few months to get my first period, however it came after a month. I'm sure the stress, apprehension, the belief (however remote the chance might be) that you might be pregnant screws the hormones. My second real period I was 7 days late! I was convinced I was PG, but unfortunately nothing is like clockwork the way it is when you're on the pill. I know it's easier said than done, but chill, relax, let your body do it's thing and it will come when you least expect it :)

GFH - Wow another high! Is that you're 6th? I wouldn't be worried. Just go with the flow. Is DH feeling better? Any chance of some BD action?

Primmer - Can you move me on the testing list please? AF is due on Thurs 20th May, but I think I would rather test on the Saturday if she hasn't turned up. I don't want to poas on the friday and then have to go to my new job, regardless of the outcome.

Oh well, just a week to go for me. It's sooooooooo dragging :(

But, yay for the weekend. When DH gets up, we're going out to do some gardening as its nice and sunny here :j DH is on poo patrol and grass cutting duties and I'm on pruning :)

Hope you all have a lovely day

Well I tested this morning and.. BFN for me! But its ok, I really wasn't expecting to see any different, as we weren't actively trying!
If you want a baby, you need to do it without condoms;)
Morning Murray - no real symptoms at all, and being me I'm wondering if that is a bad thing?
My symptoms only started at around 6 weeks.
    Enjoy your last 2 weeks:o

Hi QQ, thanks for your welcome. Yes this will be my first. I'm very excited but equally nervous about all the unknowns. The only thing I remember about my "real periods" from before the pill is that they were horrible! I used to suffer very badly each month and that's the meain reason I was on the pill.

I'll be glad to get this last fake period out the way so I can see how I settle into a cycle and probably moan about p pains.

So were mine. I came off briefly because I hated my GP but I suffered so badly I gave in and went back on it.
Interestingly I used still have bad cramps and one quite heavy day on the pill, which seemed to disappear when, due to allergies, I had to switch from Always to 100% cotton products.

The first period after I came off was bad but now they're as light and painless as before, so don't panic just yet. ;)

I haven't got a CBFM either but if we haven't nailed it in the next couple of months I'll probably cave!

Hello. I've posted here a couple of times but we are now "officially" trying for a baby. I will be prescribed clomid once I have a few tests done as I am not ovulating by myself. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is awaiting for me in terms of side effects for clomid?
Also, I have wanted children for as long as I have known but now that we really are doing something about it, it's scaring me so much I am thinking maybe I am not ready? Maybe I don't want to give up my freedom and lose a lot of our income ? Does anyone else feel that way or am I perhaps changing my mind?
