You dont have to miss out the whole pregnancy. I avoided them like the plague for the first 12 weeks, then had one every month or so :D

MV - Was planning to do some gardening also but the BBC website says the best I can hope for is 12degC. Might just plant my sunflower seeds and leave it at that. Will take my dogs out for a run as usual though. A few glasses of wine will no doubt also be consumed. Are you missing being able to have a drink/eat mr whippie etc?

You cant eat Mr Whippie ice cream?! I might have to rethink this TTC lark!! ;)

:rotfl: AND Mc Flurry. Think it's the same bacteria issue you get with some of the soft cheeses.
:rotfl::rotfl:Don't panic ladies, they're fine to eat so long as you know they're pasteurised...I know the McFlurries are but tbh I wouldn't touch an ice cream van with a barge pole coz you never know!!!:D

MV as for the wine..with the nicer weather I'm missing having a drink BUT don't fear Morrisons do a nice selection of alcohol free wine:DTis scrummy, Asda's aint so bad but not a good selection and a bit too sweet for me!!
Also Kopperberg do a lovely non-alcoholic pear cider..tis another scrummy one;):)

Sorry for any BFNs and keeping everything crossed for a bumper crop of BFPs this month:)

I havent missed alcohol at all which is bizarre as I am a gal who really loves her wine!

Funnily enough last time (Xmas) I felt a bit hard done by and had the odd drink here and there as still really fancied it.

I'm not a big ice cream fan luckily..I like savoury things more, so thats not a problem. I'll miss brie and sushi more!

I am a bit concerned about not being able to dye my hair though as I'm getting very rooty, but apparently permenant haior dyes aren't good, particularly in the 1st 12 wks, so will have to wait until then. My hair does look awful though when it gets rooty.

Fuzz thanks for the non-alco wine tip

Mr MV bought some non-alcoholic Becks beers the other night, and they're ok actually.

The pear cider sounds good...I :heart2: pear cider!

I wasn't bothered at first either MV until we went to the pub with mates and it was a boiling hot day and I had to have lemonade...doesn't quite hit the spot like a bottle fo Magners would:D

Anyhoo I'll bog off now, just didn't want to disappoint you ladies on the ice-cream front too much:D

Hi, popping in to say hi and to see if I can join please?

I took my final pill yesterday and hubby and I are now officially TTC! I'm expecting my last "pill period" to start next Monday ish and from them on I will be watching to see how soon I manage to get into a regular cycle. I've been on the pill for about 5 or 6 years so how soon it'll take is anyones guess.

We're both taking TTC vits but other than that we have no idea of what to do (apart from the obvious ;)). All tips and advice would be welcome.

I look forward to chatting with you all and hope that you can keep me sane as I am the worlds worst at being inpatient!

Hi Doglover! Welcome! Im not long here myself, and im in a situation similar to your own! I finished my last pill on April 6th and am still waiting on AF to show her ugly face! We haven't been actively trying as I would like to give my cycle 2-3 months before trying, so we were hoping Aug-Sep time! There is lots of great advice on here, and everyone is lovely and helpful! Hope your stay is short and sweet, in a gd way! x
