MV, it sounds like you and I are both having similar problems.
    My DH works away Mon-Fri.
I dont test my temps - and I would only get even more upset if I had a peak whilst he was away.
Today is CD10 and according to the OV calander we should be at it from now till next weekend - typical !
We tried to have a BD this morning before he left but it just wasn't happening.
I guess a combination of the early hour, the thought of his 4 hour drive to work (late !) and probably the fact he felt he had to perform today as next weekend will be too late.
He set off all stressed & I was left crying in bed.

(((Hugs))) Tabs. Its horrible when the pressure to DTD takes away all the fun of it.

    Hope you're ok hon x

Q - with the monitor you get a series of 'high' and then normally 2 'peak' days, which is where the monitor picks up not only your LH surge, but another hormone too. The second 'peak' day is thought to be the day you actually ovulate.

From what I've read it is best to try and BD on a few of your 'high' days...maybe every other day, and then both of your 'peak' days. These are when you are most fertile and likely to conceive.

We managed to get another BD in last night. The monitor shows I am back to 'low' again this morning, so the 2WW starts again for me.

So this month we have hit 2 'high' days, one before ov and the other after, and my first 'peak'.

    Fingers crossed now.

Hi Phunkles - nice to see you :)

    And welcome Rachael.

Dtd in the morning before work is hard, we've never done that either.
Can't you take a day off and visit him?

My OH on the other hand lives at the other side of the world:rotfl:
I visit him sometimes, I'm there now. Hope we catch the ov this cycle, if not, we could try June if lucky, or July/August.

My cycle is all over the place, has been since the very beginning. Same as mum and my sister. Exciting huh?

Hmm... I see, thanks. I'll definitely get one after this cycle:p
I haven't ovulated yet, but think I will sometime this week. OH is here all week, so should get cracking.

I don't talk to OH about ov, but maybe I should give him a hint?
I don't want to look obsessive, and I don't want to take the fun out of baby making...

Well I'd definitely recommend it purely from the point of view of being able to track more clearly what your body is doing.

Whether it works or not...I'll keep you posted!

I don't think there'd be a hope in hell of DTD before work. OH is most definitely NOT a morning person!

I am stalking you yes, and Tinkwings (and Twinkle when she appears over here - I've seen you mrs!). I'm fine although getting a bit massive now and slightly uncomfy. It's all fine though, and you will be too. The months go by very slowly when you're ttc. I had 5 cycles between mc and conceiving Munchkin, seemed like forever at the time but it's not really in the big scheme of things. Good luck, I'll see you on the scary side really soon! xxx

    Thanks Honey xoxo :D
If you can think it........it will happen

Quick question..did you DTD on both your peak days and every other High day?

Gah the 2WW is the worst bit isnt it..it just seems to take forever!

I'm going to challenge myself not to drink any alcohol for the next 2 weeks.

Hey MV, with my crazy cycles we're almost buddies this month. I got my second peak today, so just a day behind you. We DTD on the two days leading up to peak, nothing yesterday, but OH has promised I can bounce on him the minute he's home tonight!
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.
  • Yayy Mit3..a CBFM bud for April :D

Ah so you are going for the 'second peak' approach and I've gone for the 'First peak' one..:rotfl:We'll have to compare notes at the end!
