So only DTD twice over this period. Dont know if it will be enough, but fingers crossed.
It only takes one little swimmer, sweetheart. It will happen. Thinking of you, glad you seem a bit more cheerful.

I am stalking you yes, and Tinkwings (and Twinkle when she appears over here - I've seen you mrs!). I'm fine although getting a bit massive now and slightly uncomfy. It's all fine though, and you will be too. The months go by very slowly when you're ttc. I had 5 cycles between mc and conceiving Munchkin, seemed like forever at the time but it's not really in the big scheme of things. Good luck, I'll see you on the scary side really soon! xxxUpdating soon...0 -
Welcome back EA
i was hoping a while that i would join you on the pg thread but that hasnt happened!!:rotfl:
Dusty - Hope OH swimmers are ok. How was it getting it to the hospital??:rotfl:
Ha it was ok Laura, luckily we could get park right outside the lab so he did the deed at home and we stormed up there half an hour early. :rotfl:
How is everyone else, good weekend? Me and OH haven't really had a great weekend, it was his birthday on friday and he got plastered which meant I was in a mood with him all day yesterday which meant he didn;t come to Peter Kay last night and left just me and my mum on our own
So no DTD all weeekend and I'm supposed to be oving on weds, need to make up by then.
Hope everyone else has had a better one?
MV - you are really tempting me to purchase a CBFM, seems to be working for you!..xx0 -
Hiya Dusty
Sorry you and OH have had a bit of a tiff..reckon you'll get him back on side by ov time next week though
Re the CBFM - I'd definitely recommend it, even though this is only my first month of using it. It does really help you identify when your peak days are, and it also gives you more 'good' days to try than just using guesswork and an OPK.
I can't claim to have been successful yet, but it is making me feel more 'in control' of what I am doing.
On the downside, it is an additional pressure on the whole 'BD'ing to order' thing, which both myself and OH struggle with, particularly as we both work long days and dont DTD that regularly normally.
I feel quite gutted that we missed a BD opportunity yesterday when I got my second 'peak', but if you're not in the mood, then it ain't gonna happen!
Hoping that hitting my first 'peak' day and one of my 'high' days previous to that may have been enough..who knows though.
I cant see either OH or I feeling in the mood tonight. We've spent half the day travelling back from Devon, and are both a bit hungover and tired. Not sure how important the high days after 'peak' days are though.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Oh i'm sure we'll be fine MV. I shouted at him today though and said something along the lines of "how are you going to be a good dad when you can't even look after yourself" as soon as the words left my mouth i felt awful.
i think the whole TTC is getting too much for us and his blow out this weekend was his way of letting off steam, especially after dropping his sample off on friday afternoon, i should've been more understanding really. Oh well. i'll be jumping his bones this week whether he wants it or not..ha ha.x
I'm really tempted by the CBFM just to reassure me if nothing else, I was using OPKs but never got a pos line so convinced myself I wasn't oving but the docs say I am.
my OH works nights so we only get to BD on a weekned and so if i'm oving during the week we have to change work times to see each other, nightmare, but hopefully worth it in the end.
I suppose as long as you are doing it on at least some of the right days then you are in with a shout, you can't be expected to do it every high and peak day, you'd both be shattered.!0 -
I think TTC does get to the guys after a while. I also think men put a lot of pressure on themselves in regards to their 'performance'. In my experience it's very easy for a bloke to lose his stride so to speak. My OH gets really down if things don't go to plan..it's hard..you dont want to be making sex a chore, but at the same time if you dont do it around the right times, you're never going to hit the jackpot!
I do think that the CBFM is an excellent tool for charting your own cycle, and from what I've read, it does seem to help a lot of women get pregnant. For me the problem is more the DTD to order!
OPK's did seem to work for me, but I still think you are more likely to pinpoint your fertile times better with the CBFM.
You'll also become an expert at POAS with all the practise you get with it!:rotfl:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi there all!!!
Well, im joining the board, hubby and i have decided to start TTC. Have been together 7 years and got married last year so feel the time is 'right'!! I came off the pill last month and have started trying to figure out ovulation days etc. Hubby doesnt want to start temping or anything like that just yet as he feels its gonna 'take the fun out of it' and becoming too 'scientific' So have been going with the naturals signs and symptons and start from there.
Have been mooching on here recently and a little bit confused with all the abbreviations!! Could you all help me and give me a brief run down please?!?
Many thanks and look forward to chatting to you all xx :AMSE has changed me for the better!!DD1 arrived 15/5/11, ]:money:0 -
Hi Rachael
theres a link to the abbreviations on the first page i think any others just ask and Im sure someone will oblige
Well Im pretty sure this month we missed it but had fun regardless
(I know I said I wasnt posting here but well Im still lurking and felt like a Sunday night post)
Start my new job next Tuesday so slightly stressing anyway but my wonderful OH has just informed me that hes booked us into a hotel somewhere in Cornwall for 3 nights during half term in May - i loves him very much but part of me also went into period math mode - cant figure it out with cycles being a bit all over the place lately so heres hoping its nice time anyway(also coincides with one of our monthly anniversaries when did my oh become quite romantic)
wheres all the BFPs this month or is everyone saving it for Mayand 2011 babies
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
