Thanks for the info FF, that's great. Hmmmmmm, what to do  AF is due in 9 days time, so maybe I'll order one early next week.

Hope all goes well with DH. I hate having to rely on DH to get pg. If I could do it myself I would!!!! lol

ETA: Just reading your post again, and if you OV around CD19 on a 30 day cycle then your luteal phase is around 11 days. May be worth taking some B6 vits to extend the luteal phase to the "ideal" 14 days. Just thinking out loud, what do you think?

Welcome Blue Monkey - hope your stay is short.

Gettingthereslowly - Love the PMA smiley! :)

Sammy - how annoying about the jury service. Why didn't the silly woman just say something straight away?!

All good here - CD21 and 6po had a rise today which has given me a nice dip at 4dpo. Now just hoping my temps go a little higher an stay there, especially as my coverline is quite high this month. Have had a busy day of Spring cleaning - have done the house from top to bottom. Then went for a swim and did an Aquafit class as I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment to try and lose some weight.

I took the plunge and ordered a CBFM off Ebay tonight. Thought I'd do it now as AF is due next Thursday so it should be here in time - thats if she arrives which of course I'm hoping she doesn't ;)

Thanks for the nice warm welcome ladies... It’s another sunny day here in Sydney, it is definitely cooling down though and it’s pitch black by 6pm...

I mentioned to OH last night that I’d got some folic acid and he made some joke about mixing it up with chemicals and making a bomb or something  and I said that it’s a well-known fact that it’s good to start taking it 3-6 months before TTC and that I am getting serious about it all. I said that it could take up to a year anyway, and he said “or it could happen the very first go, I’ve got super-spunk don’t you know” :rotfl:.

Yesterday I also looked at OPKs on ebay, think OH might have a heart attack if I start using them now, will give it until August until I get them I reckon as that will be when I’ll be telling him we need to ramp it up. I’m kind of fussy about when I’d like kids – probably between May and October, a September baby would be ideal. Not sure why I think this though, so I guess I’ll be on this thread at least until the end of Dec.

Friend of mine had her second baby this week and I felt a teensy weensy bit jealous actually, specially as she’s named the baby one of the names that would be on my list... Best get on with it soon otherwise all the good names will be taken!

PS. Does anyone else feel like the thrill of the chase is kind of what’s spurring them on? I’m so intrigued to know how easy/hard I might find it to fall pregnant, and also what it’s actually like to be pregnant that I’m forgetting that there will be a child at the end of it all.........................:p

It really varies a lot. Down to luck I guess.

I thought it would take ages, so didn't think much about contraception when we got married last June and went on honeymoon. I got pg immediately (BFP at end of June). OH was thrilled, but it was worst possible timing for me work wise, some colleague even suggested abortion:shocked: After sorting everything out at work, and just as I was getting excited about being pg and started looking at baby things, I miscarried in August:o

We decided to leave few months for my body to recover, and started again in Dec 2009. I kind of know when I ov, but at the moment had 4 cycles, in 2, we missed it by 4, 5 days, other 2 OH was away. This is my 5th cycle, OH is coming back tomorrow, I'm CD14. Hope I get to dtd in time for ov:D

Even if you time it right, there's only 20% chance of actually conceiving, and even if you conceive, 1 in 4 will miscarry;)

    Morning all!

Sammy I so know what you mean about wishing you didnt have to rely on OH! I think I'm definitely a bit of a control freak!

Set my CBFM this morning to day 4. Looking forward to my first POAS request!

    Good morning everyone.

Well, its sunny over Glasgow today, but frankly I'm surprised, I expected it to be dark grey due to the volcanic ash cloud that is apparently heading over Scotland!

So, what is everyone up to today? Work work work........
It doesn't hurt to be optimistic....you can always cry later.

You don't get if you don't ask!

MV Glad you sound brighter and happpier. I want to get a one of those thingies, but I just got a new phone and it will be weeks before I can work that...how hard are they to figure out?

Just talking to ladies on miscarriage support and they reckon I may not get a negative test for some weeks, so thats ages to wait.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
