You need to use fmu. You have a 6 hour time window in which to do it using the time you did it the first day (of that particular cycle) as the mid point. So can do it 3 hours either side....hope that makes sense.

CBFM = Clear Blue Fertility Monitor
    FMU = First Morning Urine

From what you've said it sounds like you're in the 6 month slump:( Its horrible and makes you feel completely useless and its not uncommon! You will come out of it though and hopefully find some PMA(Positive Mental Attitude) and be ok. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon:)

Can't believe you said PMA - my DH has said that constantly over the last few days :rotfl:

I was quite laid back to begin with, but like you say, now it's getting to the 6 month mark, i'm beggining to wonder. AF not very regular just now eaither, so going from 'maybe this time' to 'oh no, not again'. Maybe try the CBFM.

    Hello all

Feeling v. depressed today. AF 2 days late, but i'm getting that crampy feeling, so sure it's on it's way (again ).
    Have you tested?
I've been trying for 6-7 months and i'm not sure if i should be worried yet. It seems like everyone i've heard of falls preggers quicker than they expected, and i just expected the same. What's normal?
I fell pg straight away first time, but lost it after 11 weeks. Better wait and have a proper baby:cool:

Yep PMA was my mantra while I was here(which was ages!) and I think the girls have let it slip..Tut tut girlies:naughty::p:D
Just a word of warning too, if you do hit the 9month mark, thats hard aswell:( but I'm hoping you don't:) Your bfp is just around the corner;) if AF isn't regular have you tried anything to help regulate it?? I think its Agnus Castus that can help with that, I'm sure someone will be along to confirm soon:)

    Remember PMA PMA PMA:D:D:D:D:D

Hello to Val and Shazza - we're getting an influx of new joiners lately, I think it is the weather making everyone frisky!

    :rotfl:

Not really - have been trying for a while but I've just been plucking up the courage to come and join you all :o

Thank you all for the lovely welcome.

I agree that our OHs seem to think we would get pregnant the first month of trying. It hasn't helped my OH's ego since he did a home fertility test which he passed with flying colours - now all I keep hearing is how he must have super sperm.

Have refrained from telling him they can't be that super as I'm not pregnant yet :p

Gettingthereslowly – I always write down bd’ing and what CD I’m on in my diary!

Weeyin I am also considering a CBFM. This is our 5th cycle since we started trying after our mmc, I’m hoping that it will be lucky as we fell during our 5th cycle last time. Now the 6th month mark is approaching I’m started to get a little impatient (patience was never my strong point in all honesty though!). I was thinking I might buy a CBFM off Ebay – it seems that a lot of people buy one then get pregnant and don’t need to use it so maybe I could tempt fate by buying one ;)

I would keep he PMA up but I've stopped posting quite so much...seems a bit pointless when I have nothing to say. I just pop in from time to time (when I'm on holiday!!!! :rotfl:) just to keep my finger in and see how everyone is.

No - haven't tested, but AF has been anything from 21 days to 28 in the last few months, so not sure if i should even class 30+ days as 'late'. If they don't arrive tomorrow will take a test, but think it will arrive today tbh.

I will look into some stuff to see if that can help regulate them a bit, and the CBFM too.

    Thanks

Weeyin, there's some info here with stats on getting getting pregnant: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/preconception/activelytrying/howlongwillittake/
It reckons that about 84% of couples will get pg in the first year.

I don't know many people who have had babies but of the 4 I do know they all got PG in the first month! Seems so unfair but that's life. And I got to hear their stories of how they just came off the pill thinking it would take a year...

I'm only on cycle 3, so still early days. Another positive for each month means more money saved up for maternity leave :) Maybe I'll be able to take the full year off :D

I've started charting again to find my temperature hike so I can work out when to expect AF (or not - see PMA there!)

Here is my chart if anyone wants a nosey. Share yours please, I love looking at peoples charts (is that sad? I sort of like stats and what not).
