We have never really sat down and talked about a baby. We have been together 20 yrs and married for 15 and right from the start we both said we didnt want kids.
To be honest I dont really like kids much and I dont have close friends with kids and I dont have any patience at all with other peoples kids I come across day to day.
I think he was the first to start getting broody - about 12 months back one of his collegues at work had a baby and then a few months ago another of his friends wife had a miscarriage and he was quite upset for the both of them.
It only really started getting to me when he started working away just after Christmas
Ive just been keeping a note of when my period is due thats all.
We have not been using any protection for about 6 months.

Maybe it's time for you to have a chat about it?

If you both want a child there shouldnt be a problem :)

I was quite blase about the whole thing..I managed to fall pregnant quite easily last year. Sadly I miscarried just before I reached 9 weeks, and although it was the most horrendous thing thats ever happened to me and OH, it showed us how much we want to have children now.

Hi Tabby, BFF is PG 32 weeks and 40 at Christmas so it's never too late. She had all types of Gynae probs so even that won't deter the most determined sperm!

MV, CD15 for me too (oh cycle sista this month) and don't despair as my CBFT showed high and after planning a bit on the old fertility charts tonight could be the night. You haven't missed the boat. The old CM has been observed (I remember the post a few days ago when somebody said they were obsessed with looking in their knickers - that's me now and I've never done it before - you don't half learn some stuff on here!)

I'm inclined to agree with MI3, we do get hung up on DTD loads around the time. Remember quality girls. I'm setting up that we DTD at least once at weekends and midweek or at least once on a school night. I know it's hard MV but if your OH wants it too you have to go that extra. I know it must be hard with kids, I'm without and it's difficult to make that step.

Hi Simon4a too. Sorry to hear of your losses and I hope you can find temporary comfort in us neurotic sex obsessed women!

Well, the glamours of MSE TTC part 5, off out to put the bins then get ready for bed hehehehe! :)

Evening FF..I'm hoping we may get a quickie in tonight, but not sure it's going to happen.

I'm hoping that I ov'd Sunday/yesterday and that we BD'd enough, but who knows.

I dont have any kiddies either..god knows how we'd manage to get any in if we did!!

Fingers crossed for us all :)

    Morning!

Well still BFN for me, poas this morning but not even a tiny hint.

Have accepted that this is not the month for me (after a good cry, didn't realise how much it mattered to me and how stressful it was all becoming-am I, am I not?) and have seen the positive side (ha ha no pun intended) it means that I can focus now on my weight loss again as I haven't really had the motivation for it.

I trully wish everyone all the very best and hope you get your long awaited BFP's. I will be back in the Summer (but will look in from time to time).

    Take care and SBDTA xx

aww teenie sorry about the BFN x

Lemon - I'm like you...totally impatient! :D Unfortunately in this game you have no choice but to wait!

Morning all...only 1 more day of work till the long weekend :j

OH and I were hoping to be able to get out in the garden and start our grand plans for totally ripping it all up and starting again. Looking at the sh*tty weather this morning however, I'd say we have Bob and no hope of that! :(

Grrr..what's happened to Spring??? I want to put some lighter clothes and shoes on..dont still want to be in my ugg's in April!

OH and I managed to get a cheeky BD in last night..amazing considering we were both knackered, but it was actually tres enjoyable :D

So thats me covered for this month I reckon. So now onto the dreaded 2WW!

Sorry Teenie for the BPN - I'm liking your upbeatness to stay positive - that's the spirit!
Well, for me CD17, fertile on the old CBFM and all the CM SS looks good. Tried to DTD last night but needless to say with the stresses of work it was a BFN in that dept too. Fingers crossed for tonight but as Bob Monkhouse used to say - if it's up there, I'll give you it myself. Aint hopeful for an April fool-concieved baby. Although it would be quite funny to do a test then.

Keep smiling, SBDTA and remember, it ain't over til we're fat ladies. :D

Me too. At the moment, after 5 cycles of charting, I think I know exactly where I am at the moment, my AF should be due on 2nd April:cool: (Can't pinpoint ov beforehand, but can after the event:o).

Hoping it'll be a day late, since I'm seeing OH after 2 months of separation (last seen him at the end of Jan).

See you back in Summer. I hope I wouldn't still be here to greet you in the nicest possible way:D
