Another question: Although I don't get it, I see the number of days pregnant includes the time before conception - is this included in the 12 weeks? So if you had your last period on the 1st Feb, and conception was the 14th and today was the 28th then that would be 4 weeks preggers and only 8 weeks to the magic 12 week mark?

For me CD28 - looking like AF is not arriving today I hope it's sooner than later as I'm having a belated birthday weekend this weekend. OH is treating me out for a meal Friday. Don't want to be achy and miserable for it.

I also assumed the 12 weeks would be from the date of the last period which is how the weeks seem to be worked out, but again not entirely sure. Got my first MW appointment next Friday so will have to ask as I'm dying to be able to tell people and don't really want to have to wait an extra 2 weeks!!

Giz BB is right she said term +13 meaning she's 13days over her due date.

the 12 weeks is dated by doctors from the 1st day of your last period..makes it easier to work out and then once you get the dating scan then they can adjust the date accordingly:)

Giz, we were going to try to wait til around 12 weeks when we know everything's OK. I really, really want to tell my Mum though! However, I want to do it face to face rather than over the phone, and since she not only lives 250 miles away but is also going on holiday for 3 weeks today, it will have to wait a few more weeks at least. OH wants to wait til 12 weeks, so I may have a battle to get him to agree to me telling Mum

Oh and I got a BFN at 15dpo and we only BD'd twice around the right time, but still got my BFP a couple of days later. It only takes once Got my fingers crossed for you.

Its not willpower...its fear! I've been waiting 12months(11 cycles) for a BFP and now it's looking like a possiblity I don't want to be disappointed coz I'll go into a huge slump:( As for telling people if it's +ive.....try and stop me:o Ideally I'd like to wait til 12weeks too BUT I only see my parents once a month and drinking is usually involved:o and if, god forbid, the worse happens I'll need the support and if you tell one lot of parents you have to tell the other....plus DH's parents are dying to be grandparents:D
