See I'd like to say she was blowing it all out of proportion but having never been in labour myself, I don't know! But she seemed to be a bit of a wuss.
Phunkles - If we were all the same, the world would be a very boring place. You obviously love your OH, but if marriage isn't for you - then who's to say thats wrong? Seriously, these wish lanterns were the bain of my life. Was umming and ahhing about them. Paid £80 2 days before the wedding for them and setting off 50 of these things (and they're huuuuuuuuuge) with 100 ppl, means more than one person got hit on the back with them flapping about in the wind. I do (did) H&S risk assessments at work, and these were a H&S person's nightmare. *Shudders* Maybe I'll laugh about it one day
Right, enough job searching for one day. Im going to go and get some dinner on. Grilled chicken anyone?
Hugs and sticky baby dust to all x

Just popped in to poke my oar in, I was laughing my head off, which makes me an unfeeling cow, I know, but still...she didn't go to antenatal classes, that girl, and the woman with the pillows was every bit as grumpy as I would be in that situ. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
@Sparkle - thanks for mentioning the BOGOF deals. I've not bought any tests yet. How many should I get? Do you think 4 is enough? (2 double packs). I don't want to think later "I wished I'd got more while they were on BOGOF"
I watched one born every minute - it's so good to see everyone on here saying what a wuss that girl was. I was getting really scared. I wonder if I can download the old episodes. Will pop onto 4OD in a minute.
Ugh I had a whole load of CM today! Why? I'm CD21. Is this normal. I hope I've OV'd cos we haven't BD'd in 5 days. Next month I must start Bding earlier and continue Bding for longer.
I also got post wedding blues - I had so much fun organising it. I also want to hear about the chinese lanterns...please?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
:wave:Kairi, welcome to the mad house. My OH says he's not coming in the labour room too but I said if he is willing to get me in this mess then he can see it through.:p:p I could do with mu mum there for support and OH there to shout at.
Primmer - sorry to hear AF got you
MV - glad to hear things are settling back down for you now, fingers crossed for you now tinks..x
Fuzz - you would be a great wedding planner, your list skills are immense. you could help me with mine if OH ever asks me. 5 years in May and not even a whiff of a sparkler on my finger. And I have hinted, even showed him hotels in the lake district where it could take place *insert bridezilla smilie*
Ladylegs - where are you, i hope you're here and not been scared off? I miss you
I went to the docs today and OH came with me which i didn't think he'd do. The doc is sending me for blood tests but I have to go on CD21 which is next weds and surprise surprise my docs don't do blood tests on a weds so i have to go to the hospital. Has anyone else of this CD21 test? Apparently it is a common test to do when TTC but I've never heard of it. She says OPKs aren't reliable at all and the fact AF is visiting means it is likely I am oving :j.
Anyway, she also said she's send me for a scan and when the results of bloods and scan come back she will see what's what and maybe refer me to a specialist. Eek - I hadn't banked on it going that far, i was just after some reassurance but I'm willing to take it up if it's being offered. She is a student doc and so I think was covering all bases, my normal doc would have told me to come back in 6 months. She also wants OH to take a sample to his docs (not the same as me) which he isn't thrilled about.
She also sent OH out of the room to ask me if i have ever had a STD. Sadly I had chlamydia about 6 years ago after my ex cheated on me and caught it but cos of me having regular smears it was picked up quick. OH knows all about it. I will be devastated if that has affected me and i will visiting my ex with a very large carving knife to chop off his wayward member.:eek:
so that's me all upto date - going to clean kitchen now, catch up later...xxx0 -
Wierd hey never before have i being willing AF to arrive. Just to get back to CD1 would be amazing. If you can think it........it will happen0

The CD21 tests are quite common, I think a fair few of us on here have had them. They check your progesterone levels at 7 days past ovulation (so really only accurate if you ovulate at CD14. I think they test other hormones too. I had 3 cycles tested and I knew one would come back saying I didnt ovulate (as I ovulated early according to CBFM and EWCM). Went to see the consultant this week who also said one of the other tests was negative too (even though I was told it was OK). Take them all and go for as many cycles as they allow particularly if you think you OV on different days each month as it will make things easier if you need more help later. (I am now having to take clomid as apparently I only OVd one cycle in 3 - even though I know I OVd earlier than CD 14 in one cycle and CBFM and OV Sticks had indicated OV for every cycle in last 18) They'll probably book in another test earlier one month for chylamida and testosterone too.
Good luck - sounds like she was being very efficient, but no harm done cos if you have all the tests done now at least you'll know things are OK, even if things work out fine naturally2009 total raised £2373.60:jthe new garden beat me in 2010 just £1306.66:o2011 - 365 £ a day.
Life Changing October 2011 - DF & £10000 saved - twins came - no plans
2013 - twins now 14 mths old - lets get sorted!

Eek - well I'm quite sure I don't ov at the same day every month, it is CD14 for me now and MMC says i won't OV til sat so next weds isn't 7 days past ov. Never thought that I'd have to go a few times, she didn't really explain what she was going to be testing.:o
I just wasn;t expecting such a helpful response, my docs haven't exactly got the best track record with our family. Have also booked in for asmear on 2nd March as it will be 12 months since my last one so i'll ask for chlamydia testing agian then, god I hope that comes back neg. How on earth would I explain that to OH?0 -
