With a laptop, mouse buttons are completely synonymous with touchpad buttons.

I had a quick look and it seems that the HP 530 doesn't have a recovery partition. The system should have prompted the user (you?) to create recovery discs when it was first used. If you didn't do this then you'd have to buy the discs.

Alternatively, you could buy an upgrade like Windows 7 or a download a free alternative such as Ubuntu.

I'm not sure if PC World will help you, any half decent computer tech could get the system going again but I don't know how likely you are to encounter such a person in PC World.

i've got it going again when it booted up i selected "last known configeration" not sure what that does but it seemed the best one to chose anyway its booted up so far

Edit: it booted up fully but has crashed again!!!

pcworld installed a new hd about 4 monyths ago (not very well i may say as i had to go back they forgot to enter the activation key)
