Very nice man at Staples

I went to the Huddersfield branch of Staples last Tuesday hoping to get their BOGOF phillips memory sticks.
There were none on display so I asked if there were any in stock, expecting the usual 'if there's none on the shelf we've none left' reply.
However the nice man looked up stock levels on the computer, they had none left. then he looked to see if they had any coming in but they didn't. He checked various local branches they were all out so he tried Manchester as he said he lived near the store. They had some so he reserved them for me and picked on his way home. Very nice man indeed.:T

That is a very nice man indeed. Its lovely when someone goes the extra mile for you. A similar thing happened to my parents last year. They took my little brother (who's 6 and autistic) on holiday and on the way back managed to leave his hand luggage (a pull along Thomas the Tank bag full to the brim with trains that cost £5 each) behind at the airport. When my brother realised he nearly screamed the house down. They phoned the airport and a helpful woman found it for them, and when my stepdad said he'd come back to the airport from our house which is at least a half an hour drive away, she said she'd take it home with her for us to collect as she'd noticed our address on the luggage tag and it was only a few streets away.
We were all very pleasantly surprised, it is a rarity for anyone to go the extra mile with customer service, its wonderful when it happens.0
