Replacing last years mobile broadband

Bought a mobile dongle last year for my aunt. Think it cost 50 pounds. Whats the best deals going now. We had a 3 dongle, Seems a waste of resources just to throw it, but topping up only lasts for a month.
My poor aunt finds it hard enough to use without learning about topping up, I just need to set her up for the next 12 months. Whats the best and cheapest way to do it?
thanks

  • You can get a 3 network prepaid dongle with 12gb allowance for £69.99 from Dixons online. They last for 12 months max. You can top them up when they expire, or sell them and get another one. They were £149.99 in September 2008!

How much are you topping up by every month?

You can get a contract with Orange for 1GB of usage for £10 a month. The dongle will be free but you'd have to sign up to an 18-month contract.

There's also a t-mobile version of what the last person said -it's £149.99 - but you get more usage, it's 2GB every 30 days, so works out as £12.50ish a month.

    Hope that helps x
  • I am now paying around £5 per month for 3 mobile BB: thanks to MSE I got 24gb prepaid dongle for £118.24 in a special offer from Dixons. It should last 24months, but more and more websites have moving ads, links etc so it may run out a month or so early.
