Sky HD on my old HD ready TV was nowhere near as crisp or clear as my new Full HD TV. So there's got to be some difference.

That is just down to a different TV, as has been said, there are no UK broadcasts in " full HD ", so it cannot possibly be down to that.

Sky HD broadcasts in 1080i, so a Full HD TV may not be necessary to view the broadcasts on it for a few years yet but is close to be fair and you will still see a difference as many people testify to. However, if it will be used in combo with a Bluray player then the full HD quality can be achieved and may be worth paying for if someone (tomsteves maybe) wants that.

If I give 'duff' info, correct me then. I'm happy to be wrong at times, although I don't mean to be!

    Nor in the foreseeable future.
  • Hey, thanks alot for the discussion, it kind of backs up what i had been told by others, the main thing is that there seems to be a diff between them, so spending a bit more money initially may well beworth it in the long run!

i recon for £400 a HD Tv 32" is within range if its a samsung!
    Thanks again!
