How long are the tables Chris?
You might be better going to a fabric place and getting some material, even curtain lining as that is cream, if you need a good length (omg that sounds so rude sorry haha!)
I think that, with the organza running down the centre, from end to end, with maybe some table diamonds scattered here and there, would look lovely.
You could also get some tea lights and dot them about the tables. Do you have an Ikea near you? Their tea light holders are only about 40p each!
One side will house a tealight, and if you turn it the other way, will house a tall slim candle, so you could get taller candled and tealights.
You could get balloons if you want to, but I think it would be much cheaper and look nicer with tealights/candles.
I honestly don't think people will notice the tables, but I know where you are coming from and I know you are only trying to do your best ~ just don't bust a gut in the process! xxxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Have a look at the ebay user
smiffihobo
They have lots of plastic feel table cloths (better quality than paper ones) and some table skirts.
I think it will be fine just to do the top table - the top table should stand out anyway.

thanks i've looked at that e-bay seller, and she says that the measurements of the table cloths are
54" by 1082
right is that inches or cms, i'm hopless
thanks for all of your comments, it slowly is coming together
i'm off to look in town for the tablecloths maybe tj's or home bargain have them in
thanks0 -
Chris - I think it's just a typo, on most of them, it says 54" x 108" - so all measurements are in inches.
If you have a Sainsbury near you - have a look there too, cos they do these plasticy tablecloths too - they aren't plastic plastic.....but they are softish - and hang much nicer than paper cloths.
I got some for my sisters wedding from there - and they had cream ones!!!

Hi...lol
Yeah i've had 2 costa coffee take outs, not very mse.....:rotfl:
sorted, i've been to makro with a friend and we have a white satin long roll of paper like, cloth.
Trying to get through to the woman about the organza ribbon, as she lived 10 miles from me, so i should be able to drive there.
Seen some crystals on e-bay so will order those.
been looking at those bows on e-bay so may buy some of those for the table.
And i've ropped 2 of my mates in to decorate the tables in the morning, but i will have cut all of the cloths to the size that i want before, saving them some time.
feeling less stressed now
off to make tea, and then start on the order of services...........god why did i leave it so late............:rotfl:0 -
Yey.....!! See.....it's all getting sorted....!!
Well done Chris....
You won't know what to do with yourself after next weekend...!!

I don't believe it, the catering roll i bought is lovely and hubby and i did the measurements last night,
I'm going to have a 10 inch drop down the sides of the table, and with the skirt on the front of the top table guess what
I'm 3 meters short.........................
so back to the drawing boar, do i pay another £15 for a roll, or do i try and find another table cloth and join it somewhere, or do i buy a pale blue table cloth (that is our colour) and on the skirt on tghe front of the main table put a panel in the middle.....................
oh the joys of wedding planning, with only a week to go..........:rotfl:0
