AOL phoned me yesterday and said because I was such a loyal member (5 years+) they were going to give me 3 months free if i signed up for a 18 month contract at 25 pound a month(i was already paying £25). I told them i wasn't interested in having another contract with them.
after finished my conversation with them i decided to go online and check some prices and discovered that according to there Website i should only be paying £20 a month for my plan(dont know when it changed), So i phoned them back and asked them if they would reduce what i was paying already, they agreed i was paying too much and said they would reduce it to the right price but only if I signed up to another 18 month contract and If I wasn't happy then i should leave.
I was wondering if I had any legal way to force them to reduce my payments or If I should just take their advice and leave?

AOL Platinum atm, maybe I should try going though their complaint procedure, I just cant see how they can charge me more then anyone else who lives in the same area, just because I didn't notice I was paying more until now0

I'm afraid they can. If you allow your contract to continue at the original (higher) price then they're certainly not going to voluntarily reduce it unless you ask. But since you are out of contract, just tell them that unless they can give you the current price or better then you would like your MAC.
Or preferably just leave AOL-you will do much better, much cheaper, almost anywhere else.No free lunch, and no free laptop
