I am a cat [STRIKE]owner[/STRIKE] slave, and have had much loved dogs in the past. They are a luxury, just as your Sky is regardless of whether you can get a TV signal or not. My cat is a luxury that I would go without heating, TV, mobile phone, and walk everywhere to afford. The only two things that would make me consider giving up my cat is if I was physically unable to provide care, or not having a secure roof over my head.
You are putting too many conditions on this next home: you have a poor credit rating, no 'rainy day' savings, payday loans, three dogs, you want a bedroom for each child AND you only have six weeks! At some point you are going to have to compromise. Either consider rehoming the dogs for all your sakes OR your two daughters will have to share a room in the holidays OR sell a car/ gadget or three/ the expensive curtains and poles on eBay.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

There is little difference in 3 bedroom rental prices but I do agree and we have spoken that worse case scenario we will have to consider 3 bedrooms. Payday loans now finally under control as we'd agree repayment plans (and paid off some).. hence no rainy day savings!!
Actually trying to sell 2 £400 leather wingbacks on eBay to raise some cash, (will need to readvertise actually), as for curtain poles/blinds once we know which house we got.. then if they fit they come with us.. if not will haggle with current LL...
Only got the one car which wife uses as she shift works so no public transport to her workplace, I use public transport after giving up my car.
Like I said, we've started the cutback and going forward this year will be the best one for years in terms of paying of debt.
My wifes got a bit of overtime coming through, so my worries about this bond may be made redundant.. so it'll be a case of just this credit check.0 -
Looking at three as well as four bedroom houses means there are twice as many potential new homes to view, you only have six weeks remember. The rental price may not be a lot lower, but it should also be cheaper for council tax and to heat and every tenner counts when you have payday loans.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Quick question to LL on here, as my current rent is paid on 15th each month and we've been asked to vacate on Sat 13th, does this mean my final months rent should be 1 or 2 days cheaper? I mean based on a 30 day term, my current rent of £800, should mean I pay £25/50 less?
Also, it looks like I double counted one of the monthly bills, so raising the bond and paying the month ahead isn't an issue...
Also the Letting Agency, seem to only want contact our employers and have no issues with dogs... and the owner of the house said to my wife abotu the fact there's no dishwasher, that we could rip out a cupboard in the utulity room to fit one if we wanted?!0 -
It might be more relevant on what your rent-period is rather than the actual rent-payment day as these can differ. Bear in mind that not every single month has 30 days and Janury does not so it's possible that you may not be due any day's rent back.
About the owner and the utility room: please discuss with the landlord what they expect you to do to make good once you vacate and remove the dishwasher should you decide to install one. To my mind, having a dishwasher out of the kitchen and away in a utility room doesn't make much sense but it might to you.0 -
You have payday loans and you want to buy a dishwasher?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Eh, to some people a dishwasher is an essential purchase these days. I daresay if you've got a couple of teenagers who never lift a finger around the house and who treat the place like a luxury hotel it very possibly might be. I've never had one and haven't ever felt the need for one so what do I know?0

The Utility room, backs on to the kitchen, so rather than not have one.....
I was actually thinking more along the lines of taking the washing machine which is there and swapping over depending on plumbing.
If it needs some plumbing then it's acase of I'll speak to owner as there'll be cost to add pipes (well family will do it for me) but i'm happy to do the roll my sleeves up job again.0
