    Hi Nonny Nonny

Good progress so far, with Tesco particularly. Lloyds did the same to us, they must have a lot of "wrong" account numbers, funny they always manage to send the interest bearing statement to the right number? Halifax accepted ours for 3 months as well, said they would reduce interest to 6% but when I got the most recent statement, it was 0%???? Strange but true which just about sums up most of how the banks work.
Good luck, you must be feeling better now??

Yes i was really pleased with the Tesco letter, as you can imagine!

It is strange with my Halifax card also, because i was on a 0% deal until this months statement, so i imagine their computer systems are on information overload with my account :p

No change from the above, but my first CCCS payments have hit my accounts (Cahoot i can see anyway).

I have not had one single phone call from any creditors since the first post on this thread, and not one letter for almost 3 weeks, and no negative letters at all.

    Interesting development today.

Equifax alert stating a default has been added to my file, which is fine i dont mind at all, but the company name is a CLUB 24 LTD loan?

The account number ends in 8842, which is the same as my Northern Rock loan, Northern Rock have accepted.

The Northern Rock loan is still on my credit report as 'Arrangement To Pay', yet i have had this alert?

Have they passed it on? Aren't they supposed to tell me?

Staggering conversation with Halifax yesterday, they showed interest and charges on the last two statements, and applied them, so i wrote a polite letter asking them to free charges and popped it into the post yesterday, however i thought i would just give them a call also and see what i could do.

The chap was genuinely helpfull and friendly, and put me on hold for a minute or two, before coming back and saying that charges would be stopped, interest would be at 1%, and this would be in place for 12 months.

Thats every creditor i have now agreed to freeze interest for the forseeable, and i have not had one crossed letter or one single phone call from any of them since i started the DMP.

Best thing i have ever done.

  • well done, we've got almost 100% acceptance as well, just waiting for RBS to terminate us and that's everyone. Just goes to show it can be done. Fingers crossed they don't change their minds anytime soon.
