Received my welcome pack last night, set up the direct debit today, and things are moving along.
Checked my Halifax cc statement and got 'you are behind, we may take legal action, please call us' bla bla.

Received an arrears letter from Halifax on Friday, so called them on Saturday, said 'we have accepted the CCCS proposal' for 3 months, then to review.
I also had a letter from MBNA (Virgin) on Saturday saying you are now on 0% interest, charges stopped, payment accepted.
So all good so far.LBM - Jan'10

I have had a letter today from Halifax, they have accepted by DMP payment advised by CCCS for a 3 month basis, however it makes the first payment due on 28/02/10, my first payment to CCCS is 01/03/10, so Halifax will receive their payment by 25/03/10, which is when their second required installment is due.
Do i find the funds to pay them before 28/02/10, and meet their requirements or call them to discuss the DMP starting in March?
I spoke to them last week where they said they had accepted the DMP, however they didnt mention the dates required.
They also dont mention stopping charges and interest, but the car is on a promo 0% rate until April anyway, which coincidentally is the month their 3 month review will take place.
Dont know what to do?LBM - Jan'10

Spoke to CCCS, they said ignore it they are trying it on, have you made a token payment (yes), then they know when it should start so leave them to it.
I may call them though to explain the situation rather than just miss without notification.LBM - Jan'10

Received a letter from Tesco Personal Loans who i owe 12k to, they have said they have issued account details and balances to CCCS, and await a response in 30 days with proposals from them, but are not prepared to stop interest and charges until this is received.
Shall i contact CCCS and pass on the message?
And i take it 30 days is a good sign that they wont hassle me too much, (missed payment in Feb, next payment due 05th March, but they should get 1st CCCS payment by 25th March).
Also i have had a letter from my mortgage lender to confirm my new bank details, and also to confirm they have set my DD date to the last day in the month, this is great for me, i get paid the last Thursday in the month, and my original direct debit date was 26th, so some months without the overdraft facility i wouldnt have been able to pay the mortgage on time in that month.
Apart from that all quiet, MBNA accepted, Halifax accepted (although they expect first payment in Feb, told them it is March, called CCCS and they said ignore), Tesco as above, Northern Rock no response, Next no response, Cahoot no response, and Lloyds TSB cant find the account?LBM - Jan'10

Hi Nonny Nonny
Good progress so far, with Tesco particularly. Lloyds did the same to us, they must have a lot of "wrong" account numbers, funny they always manage to send the interest bearing statement to the right number? Halifax accepted ours for 3 months as well, said they would reduce interest to 6% but when I got the most recent statement, it was 0%???? Strange but true which just about sums up most of how the banks work.
Good luck, you must be feeling better now??More than Two Years in

You've had more luck than I've had with Halifax! Still adding interest and charges to my CC card like its going out of fashion, despite my pleas and advocation from the CCCS.
Interesting though, I did a new Debt remedy on their website with my current balances. I remember that when I did my original one in Jan 09, you actually put in the last minimum payment on your CC statements for your CC payments, but when I did the new debt remedy and put in the overall balance owed, an automatic minimum payment amount came up. Anyone else notice this ?
All the best with your plan NonnyNonny, and hope everything runs smoothly! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.....I just need to find the switch.0
