Do you have 5 mins to help test tunechecker

Options
After lots of requests we've updated it so it now includes CDs as well as MP3s in the comparison for albums - and done a few more small tweaks and added some providers too

If you've five minutes would you let us know what you think, does the layout of CDs work for you, does it find them quickly enough, is it intuitive?

Feedback very welcome

  • Yeah seems fine to me.

Finds them quick enough aong with the "guesses" for what your looking for - ie any compilations etc.

My only problem with it is once you search for an artist when it leaves the artists name in if you then want to search for another artist when you double (treble) click on the artists name again it doesnt highlight the name in a different colour - as such you dont know if it has worked until you start typing

The interface still looks like it was designed by a group of colour blind year nine's but it works
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

Having a quick look around, it seems ok to me.
Maybe a track listing of the albums would be nice, although I know that's not necessarily what it's for, and I know you can get the listing if you go to "Listen to sample track" and then play.
  • Looks fine. Only minor thing is you can sort the list by cheapest MP3 or CD by clicing on the appropriate heading - this is indicated by the sorted icon in the heading. The only slight problem is the icon is upside down (i.e. indicates sorted by most expensive first)... Told you it was minor!

guess you could think of it as greatest saving first...

not accurate on everything eg. paul whitehead 'inversions' listed as only available on mp3 on amazon but is actually available elsewhere too if you go direct to other listed sites. good idea though and accurate on most things i typed in!

I love the layout, very appealing to the eye on a 1st impression :)
