Hi,
Im looking to get a BB curve 8520 on payg and am looking to see if anyone can find a cheaper deal than £149 (handset) + £20 top up, therfore Total of £169 inclusive of £20 credit. This is with Orange and i have also been told by Orange staff that if i or my partner work for the NHS (Partner does) i can get £20 off the handset cost.
Therefore the challange is £149 or less for a handset with £20 credit loaded on it.
This seems pretty good to me but need some valuable advice from this forum.
thanks for the help.

Yes. Thought about ebay but decided to go for a brand new one. Im always (rightly or wrongly) dubious about 'new' things off ebay.0

Thanks for info.
That one on play.com is down as T mobile. How easy are BB's to unlock?.
Looking at it the Orange deal still looks best.....unless there is a discount code for play.com.....0 -
Been looking to see if what i can get a bold for as the spec for these are better. Anyone got first hand experience of both?. Is it a real case of you get what you pay for?.
Seem to be looking at approx £350 for a handset. Is it really worth approx £200 more?.0 -
I went ahead and got the one from Orange, it arrived yesterday and I called to port my number. Worth mentioning that they have given me another £10 credit for porting my number. AND you get cashback if you are a member of quidco and go through quidco to order.0

Thanks for the info.
I think i'll go with the Orange one and see if i can get an extra £10 out of them like you (miss_independent).0 -
just to let you know i got mine 'BlackBerry Curve 8520 'in carphonewarehouse on line for £159 +£10 topup,£169 total. its £179.95 plus £10 topup, £189.95total
i went into one of there stores and asked them would they match the price of orange web site £149 (handset) + £20 top up, he didnt belive me the price and checked online, but when he asked his manager he said no.
so i went home rang up carphonewarehouse and said the same as i said in shop and asked if they would match price with orange web site, and after a minute been left on hold he said yes to £169 thats includes £10 topup and he said phone would be unlock as well to use any sim. so a bargain, my daughter will be happy :-) so its worth haggling on phone for a bargain .0
