EGG Anniversary:Will they tell me?

It's as simple as that, I know much anniversary is coming up soon (within the next month) but I'm not sure exactly when.

Will Egg definately E-mail me to tell me or should I ask them when it is as I really don't want to miss my 5 months.

Thanks

NeilH

It starts from the 1st day of whichever month your card started in, I went online and sent a secure message to enquire and they responded quickly. You'll also get a mailshot at home from them just before your anniversary saying "Transfer any balance for only 3.9% APR. Balances must be transferred before 31st Jan" In which case your anniversary starts on 1st Feb ;)

No they won't unless you find out by asking them as to the situation. Make hay and reap your oppertunity wisely.

I was waiting for the anniversary for myself and husband, both due in same month, and they did email eventually but at different times. Husband's email only came about 1/2 way through the month, by which time I'd already secure mailed & used the 0%.

Be warned - I did once log on in Aug & see a page which I obviously shouldn't have seen, saying that it was my anniversary month. So I SBT'd £5000 and then saw a notification of an interest charge on my next statement online. When I secure-mailed them to check, they denied it was my anniversary month (which turns out to be Nov) and I had to pay it back to the card quick to avoid the interest. So don't rely on seeing anything online unless it's a secure mail - check it first.

I never had any notification. I only found out about the offer by recently joing up to this excellent site.

I emailed them as didn't have a clue when anniversary month was. They were prompt with their reply and it then clicked. Anniversary month is obviously the month of expiry of your card !

Not always. My egg anniversary month was November, but the expiry date on my card is May.
This is probably because they closed by original account and opened a new one with a new account number.

Last year they did email me to tell me.
    I'm married now! Yippee!
  • I certainly wouldn't rely on Egg to notify you.

Mine was November but they emailed me in the middle of last month to tell me that December was my anniversary month!

I'd already SBT'd my credit limit in November without any interest charges.

    1. Log into egg
    2. Select Secure Messaging
    3. Message - When is my anniversary month
    4. Read the reply.......
  • I sent a secure message to Egg and they quickly replied, telling me when my anniversary month is. This was also followed up by an email a few days into the month.

    £15,000 at 0% - very nice.
