Hi
My contract is nearly up on three, being on a talk and text tariff 900.
750 mins + 150texts, for which i use all nearly all minutes.
Phoned 3 up to see what offer, said im eligible for free n70 or k608i
Plus would do same contract for 12 months, 6 months 1/2 price.
So as im paying £40 pmonth would be £20 pmonth x6 and 6x 40.
Okay considering that i actually pay £50 per month.
PLus would give me free pay go sim for old phone.
Said wanted N80 but he said none in stock, dont know when back in?
My phone has to run tomtom, the same as on my 6630, so which do I get?
N70 now or wait for N80 in stock which phone suits my needs
Cheers

N70 works ok with tomtom....I've just gone from a 6630 to N70. Can't comment on the N80 as not got one
I suppose you need to weigh up the pros and cons on each phone the N80 has a 3mp camera whereas the N70 is only 2mp. the advantage of the N70 over the N80 will be the MMC card from your 6630 will fit straight into the N70 whereas the N80 will need a mini SD card.Welcome, rogerramjet.

rogerramjet, thanks for your quick reply.
Is the N70 any better than 6630? Or is their much difference in the 2.
My 6630 locks a few times a week, but just take out battery and its fine

 I went from a 6630 to an N70 and although the N70 looks a lot nicer I personally don't think it has any far better features apart from the 2mp camera (which I hardly use anyway!). The worst part about my upgrade was the minute I installed tomtom 5 on it. I bought the wireless tomtom 5 package from mobile (including N70 tomtom advised me) and the software runs OK for sometimes 1 minute, sometimes 1 hour.. then freezes!! I've tried all sorts from Nokia and from tomtom but nothing stops it, the only way I can get things back to normal is re-start the phone, normally by removing the battery... quite difficult when you're driving!!
Personally... if I'd had know the behaviour of the N70 when runnign tomtom.. I wouldn't have bothered. Having said that, it is a very nice phone. :TIf you don't want to know my opinion, don't ask for it!0 -

Stick with your 6630 for tomtom, my n70 was useless with tomtom, it just wouldnt last 5 mins without freezing all the time :mad:0 -
I'm aware there was problems with the N70 early on in their production but thought that had been resolved with firmware updates. not had a problem with my N70...yet
You could use the 6630 without the sims as it all fully functions without it (albeit without the phone call functions) so tomtom could be used on it and kept in your car (somewhere safe of course) all the benefits of a srtand alone tomtom unit but with a lot more functions
The N70 appears more sleek than the 6630, I've only had it for just over a week so still getting to grips with the menus...although I have rearranged them to match my menus on the 6630 there are some changes. The biggest problem I've had with the N70 atm is the fact the top right hand button appears to be easily pressed in....the other day I had connected to 3 on thier internet by accident and only noticed it 6 hours later....lucky it was on the free to browse page...I've now changed the buttons functions so no chance of that again
also, a little tip if peeps don't know..... press the menu key for about 2-3 seconds and it will bring up what is actually running on the phone.Welcome, rogerramjet.

This may be a silly question but...I was thinking of getting an N70 on TMobile flext. Do you have to pay whenever you use the satnav?0

eamonn321, not a silly question mate.
You dont pay any thing. Thought same thing as you thinking it was via gprs or whatever. Just connect via bluetooth and recieve signals free from your gps box
Although if you wish to subscribe to travel alerts etc which probably nobody does that that will charge youA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

You could always keep the 6630 and sell your "new" phone on eBay.
I want a Mio A701 - its got SatNav built into the handset so its just a one piece solution to save time fixing it in the car or even use ity while walking/cyclingWycombe Till I Die0
