Due to "copy protection" on DVD, I think publishers should provide free replacements due to accidents with THEIR property, you only hold a licence to use the game.0 -

Very true ... maybe we should push more on this point - if they make such a big deal about not copying (for backup) they should take responsibility for a media that is inherrently delicate / flawed and hence not fit for purpose (ie constant handling and use)0 -

But the DVD is your property; it's what's stored on it that is not.0 -
bet there is some small print that says to destroy the DVD when finished and not to sell / loan or give-away, but to return to publisher.0
