Yes this is exactly the point !
1, told it had lapsed by 3 people when it hadn't
2, told i don't have personal cover when its on the member cards
3, RAC actually cancelling the original call out with the garage ?
and like i said the recovery guy from local garage said they had plenty spare
transporters and staff just waiting for calls.
we all know it can take time but it wouldn't have taken so long if they had not cancelled call out that was placed at 8am.
still puzzled why they couldn't get this right today
And my O.H told me even when transporter had come they had to wait for authorisation from RAC to recover him with no charge to us
what ever was up with them all today ?0 -
The RAC have being very good to a female friend of mine. So i have nothing but praise for them0

I'm with the AA, dealt with them three times last year, once for my car, once with my fathers care (we have a family policy) and once with a friends car who has her own policy with them. Each time they were quick, competant and extremely helpful.
I've no experience with the RAC other than when you pass one of the stands where they try to sell you cover, I always say i'm with the AA to which they reply "never mind" or "better luck next time". I'm sure the guys on the road are good but the sales people (as most sales people) are a bunch of A£5es!I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling0 -

Stoney cross (alverdiscott way), but they sent recovery from Ilfracombe instead of barnstaple for some unknown reason.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

RAC have been fab to me each time I or my partner have called them out so a big thumbs up from me, whereas I once had to use the AA (new car that came with AA cover). Driver recovered me from the motorway and was rude, did nothing but moan about having to pick me up, and then refused to take the car to the dealer as "he didnt have time". Said he would take me to the motorway services where I would have to wait for another recovery truck as he didnt want to be any later getting home...... After explaining and pleadingf with him that I lived 2 miles past the services he agreed to drop me at home. AA then refused to take the car from my home to the dealers as they claimed to have completed the call by recovering me........
I now have another new car, and once again it has AA cover, so I dread the thought of breaking down again!0
