  • Afternoon all.

Been to Dr today. don't know much more but told to come off BC pills so Dr can see whats going on with hormones. Found out my thyroid levels were dead high-should have been between 0.5-5.5 and mine were 17.9.

Not sure what it means but basically the Dr said will take a bit to sort out.

Had a response from Lloyds re. my PPI and not sure what it all means...

there are 4 of us ben though is a really fussy eater refuses to eat a stew!

went to morrisons last night and spent £26 bought loads of the 30p offers of fruit and veg, we go through loads of fruit a week doing 3 lunch boxes a day.

there was a 4 pint of milk reduced to 49p picked that up and have done strawberry delight for desert tonight and thought i would use the rest in a rice pudding maybe bulk cook and freeze half (not sure if you can freeze it so haven't started making it yet

we had the sausage casserole that paul made sunday for tea last night and the stew for supper sunday

Maybe you could try keeping all your receipts for a month to see where most of the spending is? Have you tried http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/ to see where your shop would be cheapest?

You might find Weezl's thread on Old Style interesting, she is amazing at making bargain meals and making sure they get all their nutrients at the same time:

But £250-300 for the month isn't really that bad for 5 people!

I think £250-£300 for five is brilliant, especially if that's including lunches. We were spending £380-£400 on four of us when we cut back!

Grrrr gah! Why do my requests NOT get paid attention to.....

Have been trying to set up my library support. Have been given times that mean I travel rush hour....I purposely get a train two trains earlier than the one I could get to miss this....I try and ensure I don't hit it on the way home as I panic and freak at the crowded bit (also I think mutinous thoughts and don't think the passengers would appreciate me going mental at/on them) This is part of my BPD/psychosis....so ehat do uni do? Put my support hours so I finish at rush hour. So I have to get the busy trains home....Bloody idiocy

i've started keeping my receipts thats how i know how much we have spent this month :(

we really need to try and cut it down though cause really we only have about £200 spare for food a month, to be honest i'm not suprised that were struggling to pay any extra off cc and loans etc, theres just no spare money!!

Claire I've just emailed them....so hopefully something gets done. It's not as if I don't have other time, I can come in on a Friday for 9 or go between 10-12 on a Tuesday or 12-1 of a Friday.....so them trying to get me to to rush hour traffic is ever so slightly going to hit the no list. I'd even give up a day off to get rid of the rush hour thing

think i'm going to make a few pairs of earrings up out of all the odd and sods beads i have here and put them on my other ebay account for 99p start as my business account charges me, that way i'll generate money from my odd bead pot. Do you think i can do that? or should i stick to my business account?
