MSN Messenger Problem

Hello,

This is an outside chance that anyone will be able to help me on with this issue.

It looks as if i have been banned by MSN Messenger (and cant even access it on other PC's).

The message below comes up:
Signing into MSN Messenger failed because the service is temp unavailable - Please try again later

The Reference Problem number is 80004005.

I have had this problem for the past 2 years. I can acess my hotmail but not Messenger. Is there anyway anyone could help me?

Typed the ref number into Google and many pages were listed.

You could try Microsoft Support at

ok this is the error message problem:

Error 80EF01F7, 80072745, 80072746 or 80004005: Service is not available

If you receive this error message, try the following:
    1. Wait a few minutes, and then try your call again.
    2. If this problem persists, visit the Windows Live Call Account Management website to contact customer support.
To check the status of Windows Live Call, visit the Windows Live Call Network Status website

    try this:

    Start,
    Run,
    then type cmd
    then type ipconfig /flushdns

also look at any any firewall restricting access

you could try repairing messenger from the control panel

    start
    control panel
    add/remove programs
    find messenger
    click change/remove

    and then click repair messenger

or you may need to upgrade messenger

    Have you tried fixing msn??

Sometimes if I get that message I fix my msn and it works again.

Start >> Control panel >> Add or remove programmes >> click on msn messenger >> click change >> click repair >> follow the wizard.

Have you tried a third party client?

Trillian is free and allows you to connect to your MSN account, ICQ account, Yahoo! and even AIM account at once - showing all your contacts under one list.

    - But its also good if the MSN software itself isn't working.

Also for now, you can get onto MSN by using the Web Messenger.

This runs inside your internet browser, nothing to install.
    - Also handy for using on networks/pc's where you're restricted on software usage....

I have sometimes got the message that the service is temporarily unavailable but if I try again within a few minutes I often get straight on.

Did you know though that when you go into your hotmail not it gives you the option there to sign into messenger - on the same line where you click new, delete or move to folder

I actually believe i have been banned from using MSN Messenger, I have tried logging into both Trillian and Webmessenger but no sucess!

I remember that just before i was banned, i was using a software called DMSN. This allowed myself to see who was blocking me - However, after i used it 3-4 times, i couldnt log myself into ANYONE's pc throughout the whole world!

    Any other suggestions?
